They are vessels of the life-force of the Soul, Divine energy. The 22 hebrew letters with which the Bible was written are the building blocks of creation. They each are unique states, structures of Divine energy. Even if the letters can be explained as representing ideas and numbers their true nature is beyond possible description in human terms as they are truly Divine and each of their definitions belong in part of a infinite set. ALSO ALL THIS IS MISSED LEARNING TRANSLATIONS Rashi commented that the first word of the Torah word “Barashith” (In the Beginning) by the vowel points on it does not follow the traditional rules of Hebrew grammar. The vowel called “sh’va” is under the letter bet in the word “Barashith” means that the word must be in the “construct state” (s’michut) meaning it needs to be the first part of a noun-noun pair. So it should be translated as “In the beginning of.” If the text had wanted to say “In the beginning, God created,” there would have been a simple way of saying that by changing the vowel “shiva” to “kamatz”. The see from this that the “normal” rules of Hebrew grammar do not apply to the Torah but it depends on another system ? LEARN MUCH MORE ABOUT THIS HERE AND HOW IT WORKS [link to godssecret.wordpress.com (secure)] Have you ever looked at the direct interpretation of a Bible from Hebrew? If you have looked at one such as the Interlinear Bible, it looks like sentences that make no sense. Words like they, thou and thee were added, to make complete sentences but they don't change the meaning. They just make it more clear. I've met people who think that they must learn the Torah in Hebrew in order to understand the Bible. However, they are usually dingbats who wasted half their lives learning a language that was not necessary. Upon talking with them, they have very little understanding of the content and most are boring and can't hold a candle to what God can teach us through His word in any language God isn't limited to one language. He made all the languages. Gosh, people give God and His power such little credit. The Je-wish people kinda fell of the wagon a long time ago. Though many are wealthy, they've lost all attempts at understanding the creator. |

A text that is considered to be untranslatable is considered a lacuna, or lexical gap. The term arises when describing the difficulty of achieving the so-called perfect translation. It is based on the notion that there are certain concepts and words that are so interrelated that an accurate translation becomes an impossible task.[1] Some writers have suggested that language carries sacred notions or is intrinsic to national identity. Brian James Baer posits that untranslatability is sometimes seen by nations as proof of the national genius. He quotes Alexandra Jaffe: "When translators talk about untranslatable, they often reinforce the notion that each language has its own 'genius', an 'essence' that naturally sets it apart from all other languages and reflects something of the 'soul' of its culture or people" [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] THAT ITSELF LOOKS LIKE PROVIDENCE -I JUST FOUND THIS The original version is REALLY the only way to go Quoting: 1unformed1 To learn the Bible in translation is like HAVING SEX WITH A SHEET IN BETWEEN The Hebrew letters are more than just symbols.
