Both my parents were narcissists, with my father being a dark triad. My dad was my hero and I wanted to be just like him. I realised from an early age that people like my dad always win, because they make up the vast majority of CEOs and politicians...

I believe in the political philosophy of Machiavelli, being that one shouldn't hesitate to squash people when you have to or it is desirable. But like Machiavelli when it is neither desirable nor necessary or you are unable to, you should show kindness.

I could summarise the entirety of Machiavelli's "The Prince" by saying, "Don't be a cunt unless you have to be one. Then be a ruthless cunt."

It was true in the 16th Century and it's true now, "No one is more destroyed by shame than someone who destroys someone who was kind to them."
That applies nicely to the people that you won't help because they don't merit it, you know better than anyone they're more likely to self destruct or live self destructive lives.

I talked about kindness with a lady here at GLP by wishing people to "Have a nice day." She accused me of not really caring and then I pointed out the necessity of creating positive emotional experiences for customer loyalty. She didn't respond, so I don't think she understood. :(

However, just because you can squash the hearts and minds of people, doesn't mean you should just for fun. You know that,

Trump thinks NATO should pay it's fair share, but NATO countries have bolstered the American economy and lauded it as the world's premier diversified financial market for 50 years. As well as spending heavily on American munitions.

The more I think about it, the more incestuous global trade seems and the more a Global Empire seems likely. As multiple nations trade goods or services as a way to achieve peace through interdependency.

Consider North Korea and their dependency on Russia for oil and China for imported American food.

Consider American dependence on Chinese rare Earth elements and Taiwanese semi conductors, or even Israeli intellectual property for Windows.

Even Iran suffering under US sanctions is dependant on China, for their superior manufacturing processes acquired from America so China can be the world's factory.
