All the Republican controlled Senate has to do is start the "trial" after Christmas, say early January.

Aww, any Senator running for President is, guess what, OFF the campaign trail while the trial goes on.

Let's see, that's Kamala, that's Booker, that's Sanders, that's Warren, that's a whole lotta people who aren't going to be able to campaign for as long as the trial goes on.

Yeah, let 'em vote on a bill of impeachment in the House, it'll mean that every one of the candidates from the Senate will be out of commission for quite a while at a time they can ill afford it.
