WTF - poisonous spiders everywhere | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70732847 United States 10/29/2019 02:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wow. Okay so I live in South Africa but have maybe seen 5 poisonous spiders in my entire life. Quoting: khoisansun 3 months ago a friend came to visit and got bitten by a violin spider on her foot. It was a three month battle. Really hectic. And then I started seeing them everywhere. Moved the fridge to clean behind it and there were not one but 10 highly poisonous spiders including, black widow, violins and button spiders. Never killed a spider but killed them all. Like enough already. Found a black widow on the couch the other day and one of my sons was bitten on his arm - we did not see it but immediately it swelled and oozed. Put lavender oil and have been treating with this method as I had read somewhere upon any spider bite, putting lavender oil on immediately will render it treatable. It is diminishing without too much pain and issue. So I have been wondering what is the metaphysical link behind this. I mean it is huge to have these tiny creatures that I have never had issue with being so prevalent. On a practical level I did bring in some firewood which has been resting in the garden for a few years. Can only assume that the spiders were resting in the wood and I foolishly bought it inside. Had to share this arachnid overrun. Here in Arkansas, U.S., we have violin spiders everywhere, not to mention the wolf spiders. Use these everywhere. Put them in dark places, under your bed, corners, everywhere you can think of. You'll be amazed at what gets caught in them, no matter how well kept a house might appear. Like you can't be friends with narcissists, except these effers are even more harmful. :) Spiders rarely ever bite. In fact, I've never been bitten by a spider. I have been stung thousands of times by bees, wasps, and hornets, but never bitten by a spider. They're pretty much completely harmless. You're just a big giant sissy. BTW, there is no such thing as a poisonous spider. They're called "venomous spiders." You sound like a 5-year-old (or an American woman) when you talk about being scared of poisonous spiders. Aren't you the pedant. Bit by brown recluse a few weeks ago. Classic from nothing to a roaring bite over a period of about 8 hours or so. Like putting a cigarette out on your arm everyday for 3 days. Hurt for about 10 days . Cleared up in about 2 or 3 weeks. |

Hurts like hell for days! Quoting: ~Sloane~ This guy was in the shower yesterday, he might be harmless as I never see the spider when it bites. :spideshower: That's some Halloween material right there I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies. I seen a monster spider in western Colorado that I have never seen before. The creepy thing was it was in my greenhouse under two feet of water and still crawling at the bottom of the tub. All that water weight and it was still alive and breathing...all day long...I finally smashed it that night. Never seen that before!!! |

The shower area is spotless and the picture is quite magnified so you'd know if it wasn't clean Sparky. I've never caulked over since I moved in ten years ago. I am thinking of new tile though. Just for a change. I figure he came up thru the drain. And all spiders don't build webs. :lntics: |

To people who say op you sound like a five year old, well let them get bit they will change their tune mighty quick. The flu is a cake walk compared to a venomous spider bite. Quoting: Silver bird 75436794 The friend of mine bitten by a brown recluse took three months of extreme pain and necrosis. I thought she would lose her foot. I was unaware that a bite could be so bad. But the second brown recluse bite was treated with lavender oil immediately and was a completely different scenario. One of my sons does and catch and release so have come up close and personal to these creatures too often. But one can see them, these spiders move fast and are very hard to spot. And last night as I was reading in the lounge saw a very fast moving spider. Tried to squash it but it got away so I think some of those sticky things some have mentioned are on the shopping list. I wish Harmony, Love, Truth and Justice for all my brothers and sisters. (OP) User ID: 72792985 South Africa 10/30/2019 02:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | But are they aware Their bite could kill Another creature It’d be risky biting a human Cos if it doesn’t die You’d be almost certain That it’d kill you later That is why I was looking into metaphysical reasons behind the spider onslaught. They don't normally bite. So why two bites in one household? So read up about spiders in animal totems and they say that spiders weave the web of creativity especially writing. I keep procrastinating with my book so perhaps that is what it is about. I wish Harmony, Love, Truth and Justice for all my brothers and sisters. If I were you I would meditate on it more, and perhaps read more about their symbolism. One time I had a hell of a time with a very aggressive spider that turned out to not exist. Looked exactly like one of the funnel web spiders here but I was in California. The message was about conquering my fear, being able to just take a deep breath and accept that a spider is gonna get me. Just be very mindful of cleaning and vacuuming, and maybe seal up any tiny holes, and don’t bring in wood until just before you are gonna burn it. |

Speeds recovery and reduces complications. Keep body temp at around 100deg. Too many advil will lower body temps and shut down kidneys. Dont go in sauna with fever, go in at 99deg. I got bit last year, went in 20 times, no treatment. Violin spider. I was a mess for 6-7 days but got it under control. Blood will be thin, so watch for nose bleeds or cuts. |

Australia, Africa, Asia, and South America all have some gnarly arachnids that can kill with ease. However if any of y’all live in the south I dare you to find a nastier bite than the cottonmouth in the US. Still doesn’t have as many fatalities as other snakes in the world, but they are semi aquatic and have a cytotoxin that if you’re bit in a desolate place could risk amputation or even death. 7:50 Pretty cool! I watched the whole thing. |
