It was a two day event, held in late august at the salt palace.....which is in BFE off I80 ~10 miles west of downtown. I don't know if you guys (and gals) understand how our economic system in the U.S. works, but I'll give you a quick lesson, and you won't like it.

Our dollar is pegged to oil, hence it is called the Petro-Dollar. We were pegged to gold until Nixon closed the Gold Exchange because we did not have enough Gold to back the amount of dollars we had in circulation. The French figured this out (in the late 60's early 70's) and decided they would prefer to cash in a huge stack of paper cash for Gold.

Well, that was a big problem, and France was the last country to actually get Gold for dollars.

So, why is this important in this thread?

Oh stick with me a little longer because this is where it gets really good.

The Petro-Dollar is an agreement primarily with Saudi Arabia that if they will only sell oil in US dollars, we will provide their defense. Okay...that worked for a while, but with inflation it's not enough.

Now, our dollar is actually backed by two other "resources".
That is you (your future earning and tax potential.)

And NOW the kicker!

Our National Parks and BLM (Bureau of Land Management) property, among other government owned property. We have pledged this land as collateral to foreign nations to secure our ridiculously large debt. That means countries like China (especially China) believe they have legal possesion of large amounts of US land should we default on our debt.

Now, obviously having an agreement that says a foreign entity could legally own such land, and actually taking possession of such land/property is two different things.

China (or the UN) can hold all kinds of paper Titles to our land, but for them to actually acquire and control this land it is rather questionable, as many US citizens with guns might not want to surrender our public lands just because some politicians in D.C. made some secretive and shady deals.

This was in fact what the 'Bundy Ranch' Stand Off, was largely about, with Nevada Senator Harry Reid being deeply involved in land deals that included, China and other major players...and it took Ranchers with guns, and big balls, to organize together and take on the BLM in a head-to-head confrontation that was just a trigger pull away from a huge battle.

These are our public lands, and we need to understand why they (the commies ie., UN) desperately want to disarm The United States of America.

Make no doubt about this, our public lands have been to some estimates 25% pledged away to secure our HUGE FEDERAL DEFICIT. And Utah and Wyoming are two states that seem to have taken the brunt of this give away (well, it's not a give away yet, it's just a pledge or agreement).

But to institutions such as the United Nations, they have plans for America that resemble a butcher getting ready to carve up a side of beef. And what just threw a HUGE monkey wrench into their plans?
