Turkish army was established by ataturk so they're not islam, in fact they represent the secular or anti-islam wing in turkey, despite erdogan. Part of the regular forces, sure. But remember Erdogan replaced most of the commanders after the coup attempt. Also, he will be using ISIS and AhrarAlSham etc members, as he has already established a few armies of non regular troops. He wants to keep his regular troop casualties at a minimum. He already tweeted yesterday he will kiss the forehead of each soldier of the army of Mohammed. So with all that, we can stop the fairy tale of a secular Turkey. Turkey is on track for reestablishing the Ottoman empire, and rest assured that is what they are going for. |

All the killing they did helped contribute to the rise of ISIS which then led to the current situation between Turkey and the Kurds. Liar. This started when "peaceful protesters" shot at Syrian police in Daraa. Shortly thereafter every jihadist and mercenary (recently released from prisons in Libya and Egypt thanks to Obama's Arab Spring) took the road from Libya and Egypt to Damascus, and not to convert. Try again. I don’t even like Obama, but it’s a fact that Assad and his friends started this whole mess. When your forces start mowing down protesters, expect others to shoot back in self defense.
