Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77798626 "This was a harshly worded attack. He attacked Jeff Mason, you know, accused him of being 'fake news' and all that, when he asked a perfectly valid question," Hume said about Trump on Wednesday on "The Story with Martha MacCallum." During the news conference, Trump appeared irritated when Mason repeatedly pressed the president on exactly what information he hoped to receive from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky when Trump asked for an investigation into the Bidens. That July phone call ignited the Trump impeachment inquiry, as Democrats said the call was evidence of Trump asking a foreign country to intervene in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. “Did you hear me?” Trump told Mason, motioning for Mason to question the president of Finland, with whom Trump was addressing reporters. “Ask him a question. I’ve given you a long answer. Ask this gentlemen a question. Don’t be rude.” After Mason tried instead to ask Trump an additional question, Trump dismissed the impeachment allegations as a “hoax” and accused journalists of “playing into it.” “People like you and the fake news media that we have in this country,” he said. “And I say in many cases, the corrupt media because you’re corrupt. Much of the media in this country is not just fake, it’s corrupt.” Hume was critical of the president's reaction. "I don't think this sort of 'freaking out' that we're seeing from the president over this stuff, angry though he may legitimately be, helps his cause because it's not what people like about him," Hume said. "And if you're going to get into an impeachment fight with a Congress you want as many people to like you as possible and I don't think it helps." [link to www.foxnews.com (secure)] Fuck Brit (?) Hume (?) !! The guy followed him to Finland to ask questions about old shit and nothing about Finland. fuck him. Make him swim home. Under the circumstances (Finland) it was not a legitimate question. Last Edited by Bennder on 10/03/2019 01:24 PM I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you. Slake Blake |

Well the presser was held at the White House in Washington, so any further comment on the ignorance of your post would be superfluous. |

They had just signed a trade agreement, announced a new plant in Tennessee, discussed security in the Arctic, Nokia, security of 5G, etc. In spite of all of that, it was inevitable that these "reporters" ignored all of that and immediately wanted to focus only on the ridiculous impeachment fiasco. If you watch it in full, the Finnish President was asked only two questions, with one being whether or not he thought the world's democracy was at risk (again, referring to the impeachment crap and insinuating that Trump was a threat to democracy.) Imagine being the head of any company that has made a significant gain in profits over the past year, you invite the partner who has agreed to sell more of your products and hold a meeting with your employees, and all they are focused on is asking you about something that doesn't even relate or pertain to this meeting while the partner attending is ignored. These "reporters" are consistently rude and obnoxious, and have been this way since Trump was elected. What sucks, too, is that now Niinisto returns home without any attention focused on the positive achievements made for his own country following this conference, all due to the atrocious media reporting we have in this country. |
