Why put so much stock in the Karma system here on GLP, AC? Sure, it's mighty nice to see a long green Karma bar underneath my blue screen name, but I don't harp on it. Heck, I rarely even click on it just to see any commentary. Mostly because I learned over the years the positive comments are easily dismissed yet the negative comments one bizarrely hangs onto much more than one holds onto dear life. Why?

Maybe it's an injured ego type of thing. I do not know for sure, but I know that type of obsession sure as heck not healthy on any level. So I just like to look at the numbers. Whenever my Karma points start to diminish I tend to feel irked instead of outright disparaging. When my green Karma points rise I like to think, "Neat!". So yeah... I do not care how bland I've made myself to become just to cope with a social credit system on GLP. I find this to be vastly better than what is currently happening across social media itself.
