Alexander technique ALWAYS. esp getting in cars/twisting. I do all the above. I have gained about 10 pounds this year. Weight I had successfully kept off for years. I'm doing the baths. Swimming is a great idea. I'm in Florida, so it's possible all year. Alexander technique I was unaware of. I'm going to check out some videos and websites, thank you! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73853635 United States 09/22/2019 05:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm having lower back pain. I'm pretty sure it's self inflicted from overdoing some tree trimming. I don't need pain meds, wouldn't take them anyway. I have a job that requires lifting, and need to work. I'm searching for a second seasonal job, so marijuana wouldn't be an option. Some places drug test. Quoting: Storm* I'm over 50, and female. I know there are a lot of folks here that have good advice regarding more natural cures. I think it's muscular. I can suggest KT tape. I use it for a lot of issues, with success. [link to www.kttape.com (secure)] (You can find KT tape many places, including Walmart, in the Sports dept) Magnesium gel/oil, or Arnica, can help with over-doing. Also, gentle stretching. |

So boil them chickens/chicken feet etc Asian ladies look younger because of this secret im sure...as well as healthier ingredients Or eat jello as a supplement!!!! (My plan once I figure the collegen value in one lump of jello) |

(My plan once I figure the collegen value in one lump of jello) I make a bone broth for my dogs that when strained and cooled turns into a jello. I know it's great for them. I suppose it would be for me too. |

I know there are a lot of folks here that have good advice regarding more natural cures. I think it's muscular. Sorry to read about your pain. Nothing better than sublingual B12 for sciatica. You can find B12 at your local stores. Also DMSO is great for pain, but you have to educate yourself on the safe way to use that. I sprained my ankle and DMSO saved me from the horrible pain. Also, please be aware of the “ Sarno” effect. This is where your very own mind makes you feel the pain just like it is real - except it isn’t. Pain, especially back pain, can have an emotional memorex trigger. Ask yourself if you are feeling emotionally distressed when you start to feel back pain. If this is the case, then you need to know your pain is phantom pain caused by your mind and not actually in your back. Dr John Sarno has books about tension myositis syndrome. A second job might be causing you anxiety or perhaps you really don’t want to do it. Hence, your mind distracts and protects you By causing you back pain. Once you know about an emotional trigger/ back pain connection you can understand it better and stop it. Your mind will tell you the reasons of your pain (maybe yard work?) but actually it is the 2nd job prospect that you don’t want to do. Only you can tell what is going on with your body. But be aware if every time you have an event ( tests, jobs, public speaking etc) and your back causes you pain then you have a trigger and can cure it. All the best to you. |

Great advice, and very interesting information regarding the Sarno effect. I'll definitely read up on that. DMSO is available at the health store I go to. I'll look for the sublingual b12 as well. I appreciate you taking the time to post. I'm guessing it may be related to my not really wanting a second job. Well, maybe not the original discomfort. But it makes sense that my mind is trying to protect me. |

Quoting: I Forgot 73314314 I loathe physical suffering of any kind. It just seems unnecessary. All the best to you! And to you friend. Thank you! I was thinking heat, but I know for some pains they say to alternate, or use ice. I'll look into Keaton, thanks. I've not heard of it until now. *kratom. I love ginger! I used to make tea with it. I also just thought about golden paste. I make it for my dogs. Last Edited by Storm* on 09/23/2019 04:02 PM |
