I saw a UFO on September 5th at about 1pm. Somewhere on the site is a thread I did when I saw a similar UFO about ten years ago and I’ll try to find it.

It was during the Hurricane Dorian scare, and the sky was incredibly (unusually) clear and Carolina blue, and I was cutting grass. I live in rural SC and was in the front yard, which is about a third of an acre, cleared, and surrounded by trees.

I was turning the mower (push mower) and caught a bright reflection in the sky like you see off an airplane that is high up sometimes, but this was much lower and larger than those and I stopped, staring. My first thought was, “Wow, that plane is really low.” (We don’t get a lot of air traffic out here) It was above the trees in the south eastern sky. My second thought was, “That’s not a plane, it has no wings.” It was a cylindrical silver object that looked as big as a passenger plane, just over the trees.

It didn’t appear to be moving and as I watched it just disappeared. It was there one second, and kind of wavered (like when you see the heat rising off a hot road in the summer), and disappeared. The event lasted maybe 3 to 5 seconds.

I could not find the thread I did years ago about the similar UFO I saw in NC, in that case the silver cylindrical object flew across the sky and it looked like a missile, but was completely silent.
