These new people in the market make the mistake that they think they can sell addictive substances without the proper bribes. |

Here is an article from 2016, listing vaping of flavored e-cigs as one cause of a deadly disease called by the harmless sounding name of popcorn lung. The article says as more info comes in, action may be needed. That may be where we are today. Diacetyl is the worst ingredient in fake butter and fruit flavorings that have caused death and disability in food factory workers for years. it is used in vaping. By the way, inhaling ANY oil over time into the lungs can cause pneumonitis, pneumonia, and death. -------------------------------------- from the article: [link to www.medicalnewstoday.com (secure)] Last updated Tue 13 March 2018 By Jennifer Huizen | Reviewed by Judith Marcin, MD 0.What is popcorn lung?| 0.Symptoms| 0.Causes| 0.E-cigarette use| 0.Diagnosis| 0.Prevention| Popcorn lung is a rare condition that causes airway scarring due to inflammation and eventually lung damage. While treatments exist to limit and manage symptoms, currently there is no cure for popcorn lung, and it is considered life-threatening. Popcorn lung gets its name from a chemical called diacetyl, which was once commonly used to give food products, such as popcorn, a rich, buttery flavor. In fact, the condition was first identified among popcorn factory workers who inhaled the chemical in the workplace. Popcorn lung is also known as obliterative bronchiolitis, bronchiolitis obliterans, or constrictive bronchiolitis. Popcorn lung can be mistaken for a different condition called bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia (BOOP) The chemicals found in e-cigarette liquid, known as "e-juice," may be a potential cause of popcorn lung. According to the American Lung Association, using electronic cigarettes or vaping, particularly the flavored varieties, can cause popcorn lung. Once the dangers associated with diacetyl were discovered in the early 2000s, the majority of popcorn producers stopped using the chemical. However, e-cigarette vapor has been proven to contain diacetyl. A 2015 study of flavored e-cigarettes found that 39 out of 51 tested brands contained diacetyl. The same study concluded that most of these brands also contained the toxic chemicals acetoin and 2,3 pentanedione. Manufacturers add diacetyl to the "e-juice" that is vaporized by e-cigarettes, most commonly to the strongly-flavored varieties. Diacetyl occurs in a wide range of different flavored e-cigarette products, ranging from vanilla to caramel and coconut. E-cigarettes only came under the control of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2016. Changes to regulations may be required in the coming years as more research is carried out well i knew it wouldnt take long for the Big Tobacco shills to show up truth hurts, doesn't it? attack the person, not the facts - the liberal way Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Hes an idiot when he says stupid shit like this. You two idiots are embarrassing. Its the FDA's job to protect the public from fatal toxins in ingested products. If I catch food poisoning from an previously unopened jar of mayonnaise are you are going blame me, the user, instead of the product? No doubt, most of the e flavor ingredients are being imported in from unregulated foreign countries and who the fuck knows what they use to make strawberry cheese cake flavor. Maybe industrial nuclear waste, as far as we know. So what would you do? Balance out deaths and young people on ventilators verses profits to vape juice manufacturers? Besides anyone with a little bit of common sense can make their own vape juice and much cheaper. |

Oh thats right, its a FF to support the tobacco industry and their lost tax dollars. Trump didn't outlaw vaping. His FDA is banning e flavors. Some, not all need to be banned. But how does the consumer know the good from the deadly? The vape juice industry is now forced to enforce production standards, something which has long been ignored. |

We've had threads about this over the past week. Is this a nicotine or a THC issue? Is this the salt base oils or the glycerine? Accurate information would be helpful. Reading this article makes it pretty clear that it's not THC but rather nicotine products. And they keep going on about E-cigs when in fact they're talking about bottled fluid. Or is it just the "pods?" Which leads me to the questions: How is withdrawing the flavors going to stop people from getting sick? Are they saying the straight tobacco flavor (which I use) isn't a problem? What is causing the illnesses? Are people spiking the fluids? This smacks a little too much like the Kratom bans for me to be comfortable, bad science, bad opinions, bad information.
