Bahamas Disaster Relief And Recovery Thread

Hey, GLP- like many of you I am watching the horror unfold in the Bahamas from the aftermath of Dorian. Utter devastation has occured on several islands, and people are in need of rescue. The infrastructure is gone in these places and most buildings are either very damaged or are totally demolished.

The Bahamas consider themselves a Christian nation, and it is very obvious that they are counting on prayer and on God to get them through this. It will be a very long process. Please remember these are our brothers and sisters in Christ, with a humanitarian disaster of unbelievable magnitude to deal with right now.

I wanted to start this thread for people to keep up with what's going on and to provide donation links for those who want to help with money, goods or volunteering. So please, add to this thread and let's help out these great people.

The NGOs are starting to pour into Nassau to launch relief efforts. Chef Jose Andres and his org World Kitchens is on the ground with meals being distributed. His is a worthy org to donate to. [link to twitter.com (secure)]
