China’s military is nowhere as near as technologically advanced as us. They still have quite a bit of catching up to do. The moment they start a war with us in the Pacific we would destroy their artificial islands. If their jets try to defend them then it will be pointless since the F-22 basically outclasses any other air superiority fighter on Earth right now. China doesn’t have anything that comes close to it, not even their J-20 stealth fighter which is basically a poorly made copy of the F-22. As in a nuclear first strike, there are so many advantages to the side that begins the conflict. They set the terms, the terrain, and the stakes. They even establish the way that the battle will be found, which of course they will plan according to their strengths, and advantages.
