Last night we played UNO after dinner and they had another one... they love it! Oh, my ... I’m so slow at playing UNO and always forgot to say UNO, my boys have eagle eyes and see every move... but I enjoy giving them +4 or +2 cards.

It dropped to the 50's F last night, will rise to the 70's today with afternoon rain. Possibly followed later this week by a freeze.

Mrs. has been up all night working in her new in-home studio. I carried her heavy (225 pound) workshop table from the business office come jewelry studio in a different building to a 40 X 30 room with thirteen foot ceilings in our home.

It took forever to get her out of the house so I could move it. I finally had to yell at her to 'Please get a clue, go to the d*mnn store so I can move your table.'

I texted her the picture of it in her new studio before she had driven three miles to the grocer. Then when she wasn't around for a few minutes I picked it up and reattached the legs beneath it

She finally has the in-home studio she wanted because she is afraid of the entities [ghosts?] in the woods that call her name in the garage and hasn't worked out in that studio since I was injured.

One small move for a table, one giant leap for a man determined to be of value in his home.

It's all melted now. The only problem driving was fallen branches in the roads but that was all cleaned up by the time I got out there. My neighbors tree fell apart too. I didn't hear a sound last night. We also think Baby Superstar may be one of the only surviving birds that has recently hatched. IDK how they do in the snow and cold but that makes Baby Superstar extra special and finally I see the meaning to life because of Baby Superstar, to exist.

makes me quite grouchy

Sunny and 70's here today. Below freezing tomorrow.

Today was very mentally exhausting.

Our new Network manager did something that has made me feel much more secure and trusted in my position: told me to just CC him on major decisions or directives I give vs. running them past him first.

As he is also a university computer science professor, and he has told our five team members that if he has his way he will fire the entire HelpDesk and Desktop support staff and bring in a team of college students that actually know how to do that job and for less money.

That way as engineering staff we won't be constantly bothered by idiots who do not know how to troubleshoot or provide support to end users.

Damn! Talk about being well-valued by the new manager.

Charming may not even come close. If he notices I've been working ten to eleven hour days and another eight hours over the weekend he'll call me on my laptop telling me to go have a beer and take an afternoon off.

I finally feel appreciated in this position by our group's manager. The other one never showed such appreciation or acknowledged the work we do actually do.

The people we support have always appreciated us. Our HR director among many others will even include hugs and kisses smileys in emails to me.

That makes my workdays end with a smile and no stress!

Yep, quite enjoying the 'Mood' enhancing kratom at present. Dunno the blend, waiting for the return email to see the admixtures. But it isn't a placebo effect, I actually feel it. Kind of neat but then again...I must tie down my addictive personality traits.

How do you take your kratom? I have some I keep forgetting about...

I ordered it in caps....prior to that I did a smoothie. But it tastes like fecal matter...don't ask...so caps it is. So about 3 caps and I feel more 'better then I did prior to ingestion'.
