BLOOD The Associated Press Wednesday, July 11, 2007; 11:04 PM BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt reveled in Sen. David Vitter's admission of a "very serious sin" involving an escort service and said Wednesday he's got leads on embarrassing sexual activities involving other members of Congress. Vitter, R-La., issued the public statement Monday after Flynt's magazine contacted him and said phone records linked him to a Washington, D.C., service that federal prosecutors say was a prostitution ring. Flynt said he was indignant over what he called hypocrisy represented by Vitter, 46, a social conservative. "I don't want a man like that legislating for me, especially in the areas of morality," he said. Flynt has offered to pay $1 million to anyone who can show he or she had a sexual encounter with a member of Congress or a high-ranking government official. He said the offer has produced promising tips. "We've got 20-some investigations that all look good," Flynt said during a news conference at his Beverly Hills office. "We have got some high-ranking Republican and Democratic members of the Senate and the House," he told reporters. "If I get just a couple of those phonies out of there, maybe it will be a step forward." ... [link to www.washingtonpost.com] From Raw Story- Flynt: Hustler involved in more than 20 sex scandal investigations Nick Juliano Published: Wednesday July 11, 2007 Hustler publisher Larry Flynt said Wednesday that investigators working for the magazine are involved in more than 20 investigations relating to his recent call for information on Washington sex scandals. The investigations include "high ranking Republican and Democrat members of the Senate and the House," Flynt said at a press conference in Los Angeles, in which RAW STORY participated via conference call. "We've got some really good information here," he said. Sen. David Vitter, R-La., revealed Monday night that he had been a client of alleged "DC Madam" Deborah Jean Palfrey after reporters working for Hustler called him about the allegations. "If somebody's living a lie ... they become fair game," Flynt said, referring to Vitter's "family values" stances and opposition to same-sex marriage. Flynt said his investigations were not meant to be witch-hunts against frisky members of Congress -- "I don't care what their sex life involves," he said -- rather the goal is exposing hypocrisy. "Unfortunately we have too many of these guys in Congress, and I'm going to do my part to get them out," Flynt told reporters, adding that he doesn't mind spending his own money to do so. An ad that ran in the Washington Post last month offered $1 million from Flynt for information about people who had an illicit affair with elected officials. Flynt said Wednesday he paid $150,000 to run the full-page advertisement. The exposure of Vitter came from Flynt's cooperation with Palfrey in securing a complete list of her phone records, not in response to the Post ad, Flynt said. Referring to his past court battles over indecency charges, the hardcore magazine publisher said the government "did everything it could for 15 years" to put him behind bars. "This is payback time," he said. "And payback's a bitch." [link to rawstory.com] |

Well, Vitter, do you think you have the morals to continue being a Congress Critter. I don't think so. I don't care about your dallying. I DO care about your hypocrisy. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." From page 405 of Rockefeller's 2002 book Memoirs. I don't give a rats ass about their personal lives, but when they bitch about others and then may be worse themselves it proves they are fucking liars and can't be trusted to help We The People. |

hatch battener User ID: 265099 United States 07/12/2007 07:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't get why the mainstream media is not covering this story more? Back in 1998, in the depths of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the foaming at the mouth media frenzy would eat up every last detail, right down to the shape of Bill Clinton's schlong. (fyi- bent) Back then, they would fall all over themselves to get a story about high level Senators and Congressman involved in a sex scandal. So why the deafening silence now? I bet some of those prettyboy network news anchors were all over the DC Madams service just like the sleazeball politicians. Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, Morley Safer, why the deafening silence?!?!?! |
