Anonymous Coward User ID: 77891297 France 08/05/2019 10:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Tomorrow begins the 7th month of the Lunar Calendar and that means it's Hungry Ghost Month, with the actual Hungry Ghost festival falling on the 15th day of the month or August 15, 2019. It will end on the 29th of August. Quoting: tomk I like to always remind you to be cautious and careful during this month because the entities are not just imaginary, and some are quite malevolent. Released from the hell realms to roam freely, they return to visit their living relatives...so we leave food offerings outside, pray for them, burn paper money and light plenty of incense. I have heard that the only thing that spirits or entities really enjoy is the smell of fragrant incense because they are unable to eat or drink human food as we know it. However, the incense is something that they love and are grateful for, so be sure to have plenty of this special offering on hand and light it often. In this week's article you'll learn more about Hungry Ghost month and exactly what to do to stay safe! [link to www.lilliantoomandalaezine.com] I was born on the day it begins. I have second sight. I see spirits. Demons. Since I'm a small child. The veil is open, much like it is on Hallows Eve. Just tell them you mean them no harm or disrespect. Do nothing to entice them to you. Hungry ghost is a very Chinese term. Think of them like the ghosts in Ghostbusters. |

I've heard them called "pretas" I think it's Sanskrit It's like Lee Iaccoca said, "Grow a brain cell, think for yourself, or die and go away." peacelove.me |

Place settings for dead family members, are put on the dinner table. Offerings to kami jizo and the dead, are made. They light 5 sided lanterns, and even float them on rivers and bodies of water, as the dreaded Kappa will get you if you dare swim in the water at this time. Fun stuff. |
