At least one service member lost their life at that military base due to this incident as reported by TASS.

So, if I get it right - Achinsk will be completely evacuated. Army is controlling/running this evacuation.

Some people leaving city on their own causing jams and panic.

That is a good question. The inhabitants are told to not return yet. The firefighters are using armored vehicles and robots! to combat the incident according to BBC World Service news now.

They were going to dissemble that depot in 2022.

So no need for demolition anymore.

Now we have another explosion in the North, at an army base with taped-up ambulances and personnel in HazMat gear bringing the poisoned victims to Moscow.

On a rainy day, where it all will get washed down into our water supplies. Lovely. Didn't they have special cars for such things? Those ambulances look like someone was in a hurry to make them radiation-proof?

At first I thought maybe, just maybe, they went for some old fashion munitions garbage disposal, under nuke test ban. or something to that effect.
