If they go there, it's called "legal sanctuary". And frankly, it isn't recognized in the modern era anymore. That said people who do recognize it do it because of its historical context. I stand with the rights of the church to offer this and it should be respected if they wish to protect the people they have offered clemency.

If the local government wishes to remove them than clemency is worthless and we're not better than much worse people that came before us. And that said its not up to us to decide laws, it's up to Congress to create and the executive brand to enforce and they determine who stays and who goes. That said I don't like going against the church and I don't think it helps anyone.

We're going into a shitty time face forward. Everyone in politics is hating the other person. It's frankly dangerous. And it's coming to the point where no one, not even friends or family want to speak about these subjects.

I think most on this site (US Citizens) are perfectly fine with people coming here...they just want it done in a legal fashion. That is my stance, at the moment.

Connecticut is a sanctuary state so maybe we will get an influx? As far as the church goes I am torn but if they have orders to leave they should go. Other countries kick people out all the time. We can't not enforce the law either
