Quoting: Rayelle Not all people from CA are your enemy. Relax.) I already left. I moved to AZ. After the Northridge earthquake it was clear. Leave. I quit my career job abruptly. I bailed. Most of my relatives are still there. WILL THEY LEAVE NOW? Will they finally understand? While watching a video today, from Shaking My Head Productions (SMHP) there was call given to leave California. Who hears this call? It is SO LOUD.. who doesn't hear it?? I heard it years ago and I left. All my relatives are staying. They have their reasons. Woe to them. They are deaf. They are blind. Woe to them. I just spent two weeks an hour east/southeast of Tucson (Sierra Vista). It's fucking beautiful there, man! It's high desert so the temps aren't like Phoenix. I'd move there in a heartbeat! |

After years of research, I determined northern Idaho would be a perfect fit. I absolutely love it here. The winters are lovely, summers are paradise. If you move here, be aware there are micro-climates where the weather varies dramatically based on a complex system of mountain ranges. Quoting: Windsage Liberals could move to Washington state where you will be more welcome; we are a bunch of Constitutional Conservative gun toters up here in Idaho and will give no quarter to any leftist nonsense. Closest Starbucks to my home is 30 miles away. Instead, we have fantastic local coffee baristas including Black Rifle Coffee, and cool restaurants. My car registration was $63 on a 2014 Outback. 20 MILLION acres of National Forest surround me. This video is promoting Coeur d'Alene which in my opinion is too crowded (40,000 pop.), but it explains a lot of the things about why this is a great landing place. Excellent hospitals in CDA. Please STOP telling people to move here. Geeze. Libs are a sickness spreading for to my fine state. Most people could not handle one winter there. Way too cold. Thank you. Besides, we are totally white and others visiting feel uncomfortable and out of place. Plus, we all carry. Even us little old ladies. |

Thread Thrasher User ID: 75940228 United States 07/08/2019 10:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The following Monday, I'm flying out of California. I can't in good conscience support this system. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76495724 Highest taxes in the nation. They just added 6¢ to gas, calling it "freedom tax". Freedom Tax! Illegals will get free health care, while I will pay for it for not being able to afford health care. Costs of living in insane. My brother rents a bunk bed with five other dudes to a room for $600/month. I can't live on my own for anything less than $1500. You don't hear English anymore. I wish I was joking about this. No matter where I go, no one speaks English. Every conversation is in a different language. I grew up in Orange County and had a wonderful childhood. Now I feel out of place and can't wait to leave. Yes... this... PLUS!!! California is basically just a desert. The fire dangers are incredible. The earthquake dangers are real. The taxation is intolerable. The liberalism is far too left to make up for the pockets of sensible people who are patriots. Cigs are $10 per pack and gas is almost $4 per gallon. You need three jobs just to be able to afford a basic apartment. There is no future there. I was born and raised there and all my family are still there but I am glad to be gone... Are we there yet? I sold my home in Palo Alto Ca. in 1998. Moved to the high Appalachian Mountain range, and bought my permanent Bug-In land and home. I love the seasons here. Something I never had in Ca. I've settled into my little rural community. Couldn't be happier. As I watch Ca. turn into a land of chaos and insanity, I see why so many people are pulling up roots and getting out while they can. The only advice I can offer to those moving to new places is... Please take the time to study the people in your new place. Get to know how they live and try to slowly assimilate as best you can to their lifestyle. Be a positive addition to your new home. Not a negative aspect they will avoid. Be a good neighbor.
