I didn’t realize they coined the gas tax a Freedom Tax! I live in Yucaipa- grew up in OC - everything you said is truth. I have an 18 yr old car I just had to pay 220 to register. Buying a home - anything less than 400k is a fixer upper. My property taxes are 5k a yr - gallon of gas, gallon of milk, dozen eggs - all higher than anywhere in the nation- at 49 yrs old, being promoted to another position is near impossible because I don’t speak Spanish. Now they want to teach kindergarteners a dozen different genders - I want to leave so badly, but getting my husband to leave all his contacts and friends, he just won’t do it. Hate to say but I consider leaving without him- about that earthquake, we read from USGS to expect an 8 in the next week. I remember Northridge- if you live here - water, batteries, first aid, generator if you can.

Kudos to those of you who have left - the nice weather is just not worth the cost anymore.

I talked to a couple of women over the last week. Both immigrated legally 15-20 year ago. One is from Iran and one is from Japan. They're naturalized citizens now and swear to love America. But, even they can't believe how crazy it has gotten here in CA!

Did you know that along with this last gas tax, CA is now moving to reinstate the individual health care mandate on a state level? That's the only way they can pay for giving the illegals healthcare - rob the citizens of every last penny.

My son left California a month ago. I'm so relieved he did.

It's strange how so many are getting the hek out of there, in droves - it seems more than just the politics/economics there that are giving people this urge to leave. I get a sense it's a touch of divinity - especially now with the earthquakes.
