Illinois proclaims abortion to be a "fundamental right"
The ever-contemptible governor of the more-loathsome-than-ever state of Illinois today signed into law a measure that codifies abortion as a "fundamental right".

Here's proof: [link to www.chicagotribune.com (secure)]

The semantics are what bother me most about this. A fundamental right. Really? Killing one's offspring Eradicating a uterine tumor now ranks alongside life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? It's always seemed to me that a "right" is something that really doesn't require enumeration; if it's not specifically proscribed or regulated, it must be legal. No need to further belabor the matter. In Roe v. Wade, Justice Blackmun devised a way to synthesize a "right to privacy" as his way of supporting the "right" to abortion. This was quite a feat, but my point here is to ridicule the Illinois legislation, not to dissect the untenable Roe v. Wade decision.

The happy fact that Roe v. Wade may soon be no more is probably the motivation behind the new Illinois law. The bill was authored by an Illinois representative named Kelly Cassidy, who has a high school education and a spouse named Candace. That might help explain the silliness. Even if Roe v. Wade were to fall by the wayside, in Illinois, abortion is our Satan-given right! This is probably how it should be, I guess. It shouldn't be a federal issue, and if the individual states see fit to legislate yea or nay, they can.

As for me, I'm embarrassed to live downwind from Illinois. I think I'll adopt a new policy of avoiding doing business with any Illinois-based enterprises. Governor Pritzker's personal prosperity stems from the Hyatt Hotels Corporation. I had an unforgettably inhospitable experience at a Hyatt hotel in Columbus, Ohio in 1985, and I swore that I'd never patronize them again. I haven't, and I recommend no one else patronize them. I've survived without Hyatt. Boycotting ALL Illinois businesses won't be nearly as easy, but I can try.

Re: Illinois proclaims abortion to be a "fundamental right"
It is a people problem, while we have freedom of choice we do not have the freedom of choice to force another person to have an abortion against their will.

This is something on a personal level and has to do with their person their own selves, so long as these persons peruse such as they do their own self from that path alone it can only be refused by them their own selves.
When we set up an open door legalized way to accommodate them into taking that way then from Government level it has been established as acceptable.

I personally do not think any mother who would choose that way would have ever made a fit mother in the first place, when it their chosen way based of self service above all else even their child.

Not considering those who were never impregnated by their own will, or could die and leave their spouse and other little children without their mother and wife.

People get scammed everyday in one way or another even in the way of choosing death over life.

Corrupted culture and enviroment.
The most precious things are the simple things in life, always present in the simplest of minds.

It's murder. But women cannot do wrong. If they get pregnant with some scumbag, it isn't wrong...it's right. Her right. Her right to abort. Women can just erase really bad choices even after her parents told her not to date the douche that got her pregnant.

Of course anyone who hasn't been turned over to a reprobate mind understands how abortion truly works, and it's intent.

The facade is "choice" and "her body".

Both those can be dismantled by any intelligent mind in 10 minutes tops without the IQ of 110.

It isn't a choice to kill an innocent. Period. End of story.

Their go around is it is a part of their body. Also, that has been dismantled by science to the nth degree. It isn't "apart of your body". It has its own cell structure and grows independently. It only needs resources that is provided through nutrition until it can surive on their own. And guess What? After it is born IT STILL NEEDS MOM FOR MILK. Or any lactating mom. Meaning it can't survive without assistance from a nutritious source (not counting the fake cheap milk provided by corporate america. That shit is worthless and doesn't inoculate as it should).

Abortion is a go around to population numbers. All lies and deceit by the devil's henchmen in Washington.

It shouldn't be a federal issue, and if the individual states see fit to legislate yea or nay, they can.

I try to complain about every single thing the government does, at any level.

There shouldn't have to be a law prohibiting abortion. It's probably the wrongest thing a human can do. And there definitely shouldn't be a law that establishes a "right" to abortion.

Control over your own body should always be a fundamental right. I'm pro choice because I'm not a woman, I'm not a Christian and I think it would be far crueler for a fair amount of those babies if born to some pos and sold to sex traffickers and child molesters. It would happen because it happens now

Dont get me wrong there should be some rules like how late is to late and how many a person can have but nothing that would be a undue burden on the woman.

That's because a woman has no control over her own body, until she gets pregnant!

Remember, a man controls a woman's body to get her pregnant in the first place. After pregnancy, a woman then controls her own body.

Thats incredibly sexist and wrong. It takes 2 to tango so its not "a man controls" this or that. Also there is no reason a religious belief should be allowed to dictate laws in this country.

The thing that was supposed to make America great was if you didnt believe in abortion then just dont do it. Nobody is forcing abortion down peoples throats but you should also have the FREEDOM to have an abortion if you think its the correct option.

There are some crazy women out there who killed all their babies during their child-bearing years, and now they're menopausal, their childbearing years done and over.

You've seen them, the middle-aged women screaming at the sky at radleft political rallies.

All the lost children ... all the lost lovers... driving these women loony. And there will only be more of them every year. Who is going to take care of them?

Young women, take heed.
