Is the San Andreas Fault trying to cut a new trace and connect to the Owens Valley?
As a student of geology I am seeing indicators of the San Andreas Fault is trying to correct the bend that starts as it leaves the Imperial Valley and sweeps around North of Los Angeles and straightens out and trends North at about the Carrizo Plain. If you look at the currant activity on the east of the Sierra Nevada Mountains you do have what is called a seismic silence gap around Palmdale to Bishop. And the 1872 Owens Valley Earthquake had enough energy to lift the entire Sierra Nevada range 21 feet in elevation with a visible Fault scarp left in The Owens Valley. If the indicators I see are correct the We could see the San Andreas break thru the White Wolf Fault into the Owen Valley as its New Trace or Death Valley. The other possibility is The White Wolf Fault is going the release that energy. And it is the only major LEFT LATERAL STRIKE SLIP FAULT IN CALIFORNIA that is taught in school! Look at Mount Baldy / Cucamonga Peak, 12,000 feet or Higher in elevation. The White Wolf trend is Los Angeles to Denver Colorado. Japan 2011 is small if one or the other is going to happen. Just look at the Mountain trends across the Western U.S. I have found no historic records on the White Wolf fault. All I know is I look at the weather on the news and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

There's been a terrible swarm of small EQ's in CA just recently. Do you think there is an imminent danger there? Not sure what you mean about the weather, is that supposed to affect this at all?
