They say to hook it up to the Aux. jack, but there is not such a thing on my receiver/amp. It does have a video hook up, so wondering if that would work? Any thoughts on this. The receiver is a Denon, and the new turntable is a Pioneer. Quoting: bigD111 Seriously? You bought a record player? What, are you five? Get a good DAC and download hi-res files from this thing called the Internet. Vinyl was the absolutely worst format ever! Take it back and go hi-res digital. The hi-res audio xfers are flat to my ear for the most part, but still so much better than lossy or a cd. I have about 70 or 80, a few are really exceptional. Where I have overlap with vinyl, I vastly prefer the vinyl. There's a slightly different mastering approach to vinyl, and there's also the color that the preamp adds. There's a difference, no doubt. I prefer vinyl 90 times out of 100 One of mine [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] |

I have around 400, and they are all in excellent condition. I used liners on all of them from the day I bought them! deplorably republican |

I may. I got this Pioneer on ebay. Keep the Pioneer turntable. I think the preamp on the TT is ingenious in a day when phono inputs have been eliminated. Just plug it in anywhere and it should work. Are you happy with the sound of the speakers? (I wouldn't buy yamaha speakers) Are the cones all in good condition? It wouldn't cost much to recone it...if you liked it. I stuffed some full range speakers in my tower speakers and they sound great. one on each side instead of the 3 it originally had. Communism is for LOSERS Communism is SLAVERY Fuck Joe Biden |

Maybe they stopped putting an Aux. setting on newer models. Is your's newer or older? . His model is older. DAD is for Digital Audio Disc. Audio discs weren't specifically designated as CDs as an international standard yet. Shortly after, CD inputs were on all receivers and there was an established international standard regarding various technical specs. It's basically just a CD input. It might be 'CD+' since Denon (and other companies) made some of these inputs to accompany a wider range of specs than eventually was established as a standard. In essence, an overbuilt CD input. |

Buy a vinyl record, then buy the SAME CD, and use a mixer and A/B them with flat EQ. You'll be surprised. and it matters, why? |
