"placed every couple of telephone poles"

So, no matter WHO you are or WHERE you are, you can't escape their grid. It will no doubt be rural at some point - no place to hide. How big a land parcel is safe, anyway?
 Quoting: TXGLP2

Temporarily good news for rural areas. (maybe)

Millimeter waves / SHF are only useful for short ranges, such as in dense cities.

Microwaves propagate solely by line of sight; because of the small refraction due to their short wavelength, the groundwave and ionospheric reflection (skywave or "skip" propagation) seen with lower frequency radio waves do not occur.
 Quoting: Wikipedia

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

For now, it looks as like rural areas are not going to get that version,

but something very low-band like 600 Mhz - 2.5 Ghz, which is already what cell towers & Wi-Fi use:

T-Mobile Announces Low-Band 5G Network (rural):
[link to www.pcmag.com (secure)]

However if this is about future microchip implants needing uplink into the grid.. then probably telecoms will be sticking high-powered "access points" on/in people's homes everywhere.

The radio waves you are talking about, AC, are the weaker end of the electromagnetic spectrum, AC. On this same EM spectrum 5G are not ordinary radio waves. They are situated in the microwave part of the EM spectrum.

The end of the 5G spectrum actually comes fairly close to approaching gamma radiation. Sure there is a vast gap from the beginning and end of the 5G spectrum, but just know it's all microwave radiation within the 5G spectrum part of the EM spectrum.

What do you disagree with? lol the spectrum is an established bandwidth of frequency light can possess. Radio waves are the same thing as red light, just much higher frequency and energy.

Comparing radio waves to 5G is like a BB gun to a 50 cal
It's on the order of 1000s of times more energy per cubic meter than classic radio waves. A magnetron doesn't even operate at that high of frequency, it's just slightly under, right by the resonant freq of water. The difference is that a magnetron creates a standing wave, that's why it heats stuff up so well. This is directed/reflected/refracted, so line of sight will have nearly the same flux density as a standing wave of slightly less frequency.

And don't conflate religious agendas with technology. Look dude, if you're gonna act like you know something about physics, at least take an intro class at your local community college. You should maybe brush up on English while you're there too, that last sentence is atrocious, although I find you meant to say it like that.

Point being, if you're gonna tard hard, you better be an educated tard

5G under Verizon in its first phase is NOT for mobile devices and tablets; it will be primarily business networking. He stated cylinders would be placed every couple of telephone poles, as the wavelength is a lot shorter and doesn’t cover the same distance as previous services. According to him, the days of the giant cell towers are over. 5G will wirelessly send data to businesses from the POLE... no more wires coming into your building. As for redundancy, if one pole transmitter goes down, it can immediately pick up another transmitter down the road. Tablet and mobile is supposedly a phase for down the road.

The things I wanted to say lol... he was sooo excited about it.

Anyways, that’s their sales pitch.

It's May 2019. There won't be enough technology on the ground for the common consumer to even notice or need it for probably 4-6 years at the earliest.

Here's what Cisco said a couple of months ago:

"5G devices and connections will be over 3 percent of global mobile devices and connections by 2022.By 2022, global mobile devices will grow from 8.6 billion in 2017 to 12.3 billion by 2022 - over 422 million of those will be 5G capable.

Nearly twelve percent of global mobile traffic will be on 5G cellular connectivity by 2022. Globally, the average 5G connection will generate 21 GB of traffic per month by 2022."

They're prepping for the rfid tattoos. Those things need more tracking spots to keep track of the population.

The 3G and 4G nets are not enough to track people properly.
You can see it in the tracking devices they use these days, you can sometimes be seen as being a block away from your actual location. With more spots the tracking gets a lot easier and with the amount of bandwidth from this 5G crap they can also track you live with sound and video. Basically like watching tv but instead you watch some tracked person. They'll have all your electronics spying on you real time in full HD.

The cable and satellite dish companies are panicking about the 5G Network because it will completely do away with the need for wired communications cables and or TV/satellite dishes. The most cable will handle at this time is 100 Mbps where as 5G will handle 10,000 Mbps to your smart phone and or in home TV and desktop computer internet access. That means the rapid end to cable and satellite TV. A vast decrease in communications infrastructure upkeep costs also.

 Quoting: RobertNpc

And what about latency for online gaming?

Sorry cable and even better fiber will not be getting replaced by an inferior wireless unstable network.

Also you want to talk about upkeep costs when you are also talking about building an entirely new infrastructure as well as requiring people to purchase new equipment to use it.

I think you don't know what you are talking about.

Are you not allowed to have widget ABC in your house? 5G Got you tracked!

Did you run your washer or dryer on days your not allowed? 5G Got you tracked!

but something very low-band like 600 Mhz - 2.5 Ghz, which is already what cell towers & Wi-Fi use:

T-Mobile Announces Low-Band 5G Network (rural):

However if this is about future microchip implants needing uplink into the grid.. then probably telecoms will be sticking high-powered "access points" on/in people's homes everywhere.

Re: Got a 5G ‘overview’ from Verizon today. Here’s what they say..

Dumbass, he told you the reason why, it's WEAKER. Not stronger. The fuck you know about any of this? You're just a retard who can't do a decent "real" search on this tech, you are only listening to the doom porn people.

It's more powerful just not at greater distances. Dumb fuck huffing your own farts commenting before you think.

Re: Got a 5G ‘overview’ from Verizon today. Here’s what they say..
He says "end of the cell tower" but most neighborhoods now are all underground utilities so are they going to have to put up poles for their transmitter?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74539614

Well, your underground utilities don’t carry cell service (unless it’s different in Canada, but I can’t imagine transmitting through dirt lol) Out underground utilities are electric, phone and cable/internet. Cell service around here is provided by high towers, usually on top of hills. Other smaller transmitters are placed in public buildings and church steeples. What he’s saying is those giant towers and the transmitters you see on top of buildings will be a thing of the past.
