I had 6 ticks on me about two weeks ago that bit. Took them off, broke out in rash that I though was heat rash. Now can’t shake the dizziness. On a roller coaster without the fun. I’m going to go to dr tomorrow if I can be see. But was wondering your experiences with the little disease carrying blood suckers. Not talking about democrats there. Quoting: Grandma9 No, but my mother-in-law and ex-girlfriend have had Lyme disease. The first is from Boston and the ex is from New Jersey. Everyone tells me to be afraid of the mountain lions, bears, snakes etc when hiking alone. My biggest fear is a tick bite. |

Quoting: Grandma9 Well if you actually contracted Lyme disease, if it just happened, you can address with antibiotics before it does any harm, so definitely go see a doctor. I believe there is a spiral pattern that appears though, so not sure if what you described sounds like that. |

Quoting: Grandma9 What area of your body did you locate them? And did you find them all at once? Did you find them after coming indoors?Or days later? Were they clustered together? Where did you get so many? Woods?Field? It is not unheard of to jaunt and come home with a few ticks.But-Six attached? That takes time and they always crawl upward. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73576858 Canada 05/20/2019 12:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You probably should be seeing the telltale bullseye rings around the bite locations by now but that's not a 100% indicator. Not all people develop them and in some it take up to a month for them to show up. One thing to keep in mind is that Lyme isn't the only thing ticks carry. There's 7 or 8 diseases you can get from a bite. From past experience my bites itch for up to a month after the bite and I have felt dizzy from them, but never had Lyme. Probably one of the other diseases. Next time, save the ticks. Take them in to the clinic with you. It's easier for them to test the tick than it is to test you. And don't trust the test results. They are notorious for giving false negatives. Go back again about 6 months from now and have the tests again. Some people have to give their body time for the antibodies to show up in the bloodstream and be detectable. One final thing... learn to identify the ticks in your area by the colors and patterns on their back. Where I am we have dog ticks and deer ticks. The deer ticks are the ones that carry lyme. dog ticks are relatively harmless. |

I am a Aussie, they SAY that ticks are less dangerous, BUT I am here to say a couple of times a day scratch the scab off, if it oozes a clear fluid then you are doing it right, the more ‘ooze’ the less the symptoms, make those tick bites leak! 2-4 times aday |

I've heard that often those ticks crawl inside a women's cunt and lay hundreds of eggs. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75992089 Have the grandkids reach their fingers inside there and feel for little polyps that feel like they are moving. Yep.. Worked for Brief. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77607502 United States 05/20/2019 09:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The key thing with ticks is to carefully remove them so no part of them remains attached to your body. If they haven't been on you long, you can usually just carefully pull them off. The threat of getting disease from a tick increases a lot if the tick is left attached over 24 hours. As long as you get the tick off you the same day, then there is generally no long term problem. If you need a tool to remove a tick, the best one I have is called Ticked-Off. Anonymous Coward User ID: 75782494 United States 05/20/2019 10:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in rural Texas, last year was really bad, every single time I went outside to feed my pig & chickens, I would come back in the house and find a tick on me. I even walked down my drive to check the mail & one jumped about 3 ft onto my leg. I immediately poured rubbing alcohol on them & removed it. |
