If the average starting salary for a teacher is $40,000, that is $20/hr. That assumes 2,080 work year at 40 hours per week. $27/hr to start, not

Now subtract 320 hours for Summer break = 1,760 hours.

Subtract 260 more hours since they work 6 hours per day = 1,500 hours

Now subtract another 40 hours (low) for holidays other people do not get = 1,460 hours

That is a starting salary of over $27/hr not including benefits packages and personal time for their periods.

Granted in some states, they start at a lot higher salary.

The national average starting teacher salary is $38,617, while the average teacher salary in America (non-starting) is $58,950.

Montana has the lowest starting salary: $30,036, while D.C. has the highest starting salary: $51,359. New York has the highest average teacher salary: $79,637 and South Dakota has the lowest: $42,668.

Yeah, these teacher strikes make me sick. Did you want to teach to help kids, or to get rich? If you want more money, get a diffrent job, stop raising my taxes.
Why are there still physical schools now anyway? Doing everything with tech would save billions, and avoid mass shootings by deranged libtards.

Schools should be virtual now. We don't need teachers in general. I bet an AI can teach better than teachers these days.
