Anonymous Coward User ID: 254767 United States 06/21/2007 08:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | birds literally attacking the mirrors on not only my car but others in the parking lot, i mean they would sit on the frame of the mirrors and peck away at there own reflection,, again this has never happened before and is very strange, are the birds confused? if so what is causing this? Yes, this is very normal, cardinals do this all the time up against sliding glass doors. They see their reflections and either think it is another bird or something. The tv dish part I doubt is anything either, just new travel flyover poop routes maybe. |

hey User ID: 248179 United States 06/21/2007 08:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I posted on a different thread a few days ago that the mourning doves in my yard are acting strangely this year. They are bullies where they used to be so calm, kind of slow and stupid, not this year. A few days ago I saw two Sandhill Cranes at a local park, these two cranes could have cared less that people were around which is odd for them. I usually see Sandhill Cranes way up north in large open fields, they tend to stay away from populated areas. I still have two Mallards living in my swimming pool, nothing has worked to chase them away yet, I am working on it though! |

No they are actually sitting on the dishes and doing this, and yes the majority of the birds doing my side view mirrors are cardinals however this has never happened before |

s User ID: 219684 United States 06/21/2007 08:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well here in the Florida east coast ,birds are dying and they dont know why .People are finding them dead or dying.Me, I will take them to labs to see what its going on, but right now nothing else on the news. About the birds around your home, maybe microwaves (signal) are stronger and it bothers them? mirrors reflecting or bouncing waves? I know that birds attack sometimes their own reflection ,but what you are describing is unusual.Excuse my limitations in electronics, just trying to figure it out! It bothers me greatly that maybe something is affecting birds that way,... good luck. |

It bothers me greatly that maybe something is affecting birds that way,... good luck. Quoting: s 219684Last year our county put out a notice about dead birds having to do with West Nile virus. I dunno. I do know that my good friend found dead birds in her back yard on three different occasions last year. She lives closer to the lake than I do, but I don't know if that's part of the problem, or not. "Until you are willing to organize your friends and neighbors and literally shut down cities - drive at 5mph through the streets of major cities on the freeway and stop commerce, refuse to show up for work, refuse to borrow and spend more than you make, show up in Washington DC with a million of your neighbors and literally shut down The Capitol you WILL be bent over the table on a daily basis." Karl Denninger Don't blame me; I voted for Ron Paul. Silence is consent. |

User ID: 255160 United States 06/21/2007 09:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Last week my Son and I were in the back yard and there was two birds fighting in the field and they were very loud so I went down the hill and it was a large blue jay and some kind of a red looking bird and they were giving it hell and I went closer and the damm Blue jay tried to attack me. I think there was a baby bluejay trying to fly and the other bird was after it, but she came after me again so I told my son to get to the house. But I thought this was kind of odd? |
