Well, not quite the moon, but I had a broker from a brokerage named after an Arizona town threaten to "seize my account" using the aforementioned broad powers that allow them to "coordinate with" the Feds (civil asset forfeiture). Haven't you figured out how something works when the assets quoted far exceed the money supply? It's not liquid, and the bureaucracy built up around it puts in place everything they can to keep it illiquid. Now, take that policy to it's logical conclusion (since there's really no opposing factor)...... |
