Events like this have been going on for a very long time. The Notre Dame fire has simply allowed people to see it happening on a more global scale than before. For instance, nearly 900 churches were burned in France alone last year. Christians are being murdered in parts of Africa and others face the threat of possible genocide on a daily basis. Christianity is being banned due to Islamic, communistic, and dictatorial oppression around the world. What we are seeing unfold recently appears to be a symptom of a worsening plague.
