Anonymous Coward User ID: 77410319 United States 04/07/2019 02:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Clove is for a tooth ache and infection, it will not stop dry socket and replace the missing blood clot from my experience. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69101369 All four blood clots were accidentally flushed out too soon. Narrow strips of gauze soaked in oil of Clove were inserted into the exposed socket by the oral surgeon using tweezers. They were removed/replaced with fresh ones as necessary. Every couple of days. The sockets eventually reduced in size and closed up. |

There is no other help than going back to your dentist immediately (Monday would be ok)... And get them packed. It hurts very badly when they do it. You will have to do that daily dor a days. Get old packing pulled out and new packing in. It's terrible. |

This was a few years ago, so maybe oral surgeons do something different but it worked for me. Eliminate sugary foods, drinks to reduce mouth bacteria. The initial pain was so great it brought me to my knees. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77045144 United States 04/07/2019 03:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The pain will bring you to your knees. I had a pull on Friday. The pain became worse. On Monday I waited for the oral surgeon and said, "I do not have an appointment, but I'm not going anywhere until you fix this problem." When you're in that much pain you do not give a s*** about outward appearances. I guess he was a little pissed because he put me nearly upside down in the chair, and left me that way for awhile with drool coming out of the corner of my mouth, but it was fixed. Go to the office pronto like I did. The most powerful over the counter pain med I know is Tylenol 500. You can take two every six hours, but do not drink alcohol with it. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77438217 United States 04/07/2019 03:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | warm water and coconut oil.try not to suck on anything because the blood clot you want to form might get dislodged. it takes a good day or two so that is your critical time. if no oil, warm water and salt, the salt cleans it. keep it clean!! it wont hurt you to eat less because your body just lost something big and deep.just let it heal, be easy with yourself. |

User ID: 77347043 Poland 04/07/2019 07:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It seems kinda obvious to me. If a blood clot is missing, why not prick a clean finger and let a drop fall where it needs to be? Anyone ever try it? Quoting: LookingInward Go first. If it ever happens I certainly will. It's a thought. Usually it's the bottom wisdom teeth that go dry socket. So, if you ever have one out, let us know. I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies. There's a fine line between training, trauma, and torture. |
