There is no greater obstacle to harmony and peace than obsessive victimhood.
As the fourteenth century Indian Sufi Nizamiddin once said,
" If someone places a thorn in your way and you place another thorn in his way, there will be thorns everywhere."
According to the scholars and mystics of his own religion, he must forgive and move forward in peace. What don't they get here?

Last year Isis killed 305 of them in prayer in Egypt, atrocious... True Sufis are actually often Sunni and some Shia, some Hindu, some Christian, some Zoroastrian, they run the gamut. Much like Vedanta and like dogmas, all paths lead to source. They do not worship fire, they meditate on the fire of the heart, they worship source as love. Love is their path. Two thorns, twenty thorns it's all the same, there are so many reasons to hate we will inevitably destroy ourselves and the planet unless forgiveness takes hold...
