I don't have enough savings. All my money is going into the retirement savings and car loan payments.

If you roll non-taxable accounts to a Roth and pay the taxes out of pocket, it's like sneaking in more money than the maximum allows...and it's legal Yeah but I won't be able to claim my yearly tax deductions if I move everything to Roth.
