Borrowing on margin is basically what you are talking about and probably don't realize it. Fractional reserve simply means retaining a portion of deposits as security, and they may also leverage it...it's not what you think you understand about it...

Of course they leverage it. Maybe you know a lot more about how modern banks operate than I do, but ultimately any interest repaid on a loan issued by a central will result in the debasement currency, which is theft from society. Eventually, too many debtors become insolvent and the banks are declared too big to fail and they get bailed out by tax payers. Why should somebody debt free like you and I have to subsidize somebody irresponsible with money?

I work in debt collections. I see credit card statements that show restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, etc. Then a person gets sick, and has to run up medical bills because they had no savings or no health insurance, or if they have the insurance there is no money for the co-payments. So they use up the credit cards for the medical bills. Then there is no money for the minimum payments on the credit cards, because they are too sick to work and lose their job. Then the bankruptcy gets filed, but they can't pay the bankruptcy lawyer, and so the bankruptcy gets dismissed. It's like watching dominoes toppling each other down until nothing is left.
