Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77349191 The BOOOMERS are spoiled me me me generation, who beget the next generation that got a big bang out of the fact their white trash president was getting a BJ in the oval office..all sense of right and wrong started deteriorating with the Clinton slim machine from the Ozarks. Starting the 70s moms decided they wanted more a bigger house a 2nd car more than they wanted to be home raising kids. Thus the term "latch key" kids aka no supervision kids. Elephants have a family unit it works well, it use to align with human family units until the big liberation movement and moms had to prove themselves elsewhere than the homes. Anyway game management in Kenya decided to get a new herd of elephants going in an area where the elephant population was declining so they took a few teens elephants to a new location. NO adults just wild teens who quickly became like gangs on a NY street. They destroyed anything they got near, if they went to a village they tore up everything like they were on a rampage houses gardens.. people there was absolutely control. Today many of our kids are like these elephants unsupervised, disrepectful hateful rude etc.. Steady on youth! No need to shout. I kind of aggree with you. BUT! Isnt the cause of bad parenting the spark which ignited it all?? Just a thought, and i may be wrong. Thanks for your input. It was the experts that did it. Dr spock etc. Parents stopped believing what their elders had told them. This happened to the parents of the boomers. Does no one remember the "mothercraft" and "childcraft" books. I remember a time before wholesale divorce. Made lawyers rich and created a large child protective services that only protected jobs. Experts did a lot of harm. There is no cure for the human condition. Just understanding and respect for ageless wisdom and compassion. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73604295 United States 03/30/2019 05:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I also blame this on the demise of ability for people to relate to each other. In a large part, this is due to the pervasiveness of email, texting, and social media. People will say things to each other from behind a keyboard that they'd NEVER say to their face. Factor in the lack of critical thinking skills due to the ease of asking Siri or Alexa for the answer and you have a recipe for disaster. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74775434 Bah. It's impossible to talk to the brainwashed. Even if someone isn't, virtue signaling is safe mode. Stalinists took over. No, it's not trump. True to a certain degree. But the history of leftism precedes current, modern technology. If anything, the assumption can be made that with easier communication and more convenient access to information, the true nature of dysfunction-promoting sociopolitical liberalism should be more obvious and objectionable to more people. Yet, way too many people, particularly younger Americans, express fondness for ultra-liberalism/leftism, which has recently inflicted lots of misery and inhumanity upon the people of Venezuela. The power of idiotic cultural-political liberalism/leftism goes far beyond the existence of cell phones, ipads, Facetime, ipods, PCs, laptops. . . Because the propagandists always go after the young. For the boomers it was "free rights, free love," etc. For the present young, it may be "free healthcare, free education." There's no such thing as free. There's just you didn't pay for it. And guess what, you aren't going to have it. It goes to that special little group and their pets. I tried to explain this to one, about how politicians operate, and now she hates me. |
