Quoting: beeches I really want to know who makes this supplement, so common in human foods too i would lay the blame square ON THEM from their own quality control THEN where are all ingredients originating from- gawd knows they charge enough. waaay back when had to put down 2 dogs due to pedigree crrrap-aflaatoxin poisoning went rampant throughout their product for the second time- freeekin purina benEful-how many recalls ? on and on. i have had dogs since the very early 60s and never recalled all of this bs regarding their food. and now the bone broth crew has to chime in--listen up-we are responsible and caring owners and can't even afford bone broth etc for the family including pets. the commercial feed should be held accountable and to standards regarding QUALITY CONTROL and stop sing chinese shit. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 72497887 United States 03/21/2019 07:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 12-14yrs ago I had a diabetic cat that was on prescription only Science Diet when it was recalled. It had a chemical added to it to fudge the protein levels in the nutrition analysis, and that chemical was destroying dogs and cats kidneys. I switched my diabetic cat to non-prescription Wellness "Core" grain free canned food in his blood sugar became much better managed, and he required far less insulin thus saving me money. A year or two after that cat passed I went grain-free myself and I had amazing results. Been keto for 2yrs now. God Speaks through our pets. I learned more about being a Man from that cat than any other Man, and I don't even like cats. Fuck Science Diet Brand. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74457708 United States 03/21/2019 07:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don’t get why people feed canned dog food. It’s literally cheaper to buy pork shoulder or chicken thighs and mix a bag of frozen veggies and put them in a dutch oven and make a weeks batch of food. Costs me about $8-$10 a week to feed 3 yorkie fresh healthy food and takes me about 5 minutes to prepare it stick it in Dutch oven take out of Dutch oven and put in Tupperware and serve threw out the week. Healthiest dogs imaginable and at a fraction of the price of the garbage they call dog food |

I bet the food poisoned her. ~With forethought and malice Whitless enacted an EO giving nursing homes immunity from wrongful death prosecutions, forced them to take in infected patients and is responsible for over 6500+ nursing home deaths~ |

That’s like buying margarine because it’s heart healthier. BS. Feed your dog raw meat with spirulina and kale, green beans and broccoli. Dogs love cut up watermelon and strawberries. Get a vitamin supplement like NuVet. Stop believing they need manufactured crap! |

He's been on Hills hydrolized prescription canned and dry food for about eight months. It is the only food he can eat (including raw) without getting extremely ill. The food has saved him. For some reason, Hills is the only company that makes certain prescription canned cat and dog food. We might supplement a bit with some dry food here and there, but mostly scraps. None has ever died of disease - all old age. |

Buy them at Feed Stores or Tractor Supply Just do it! In some cases the above food won't work. I tried grain-free venison and rabbitt for my cat made by many many different companies, and I tried raw food. My cat cannot process protein. He becomes deathly ill from it. The Hills prescription hydrolized food processes the protein in a such a way that it's digested slowly and fools the body into thinking that it's not getting protein. Each 5.5 oz can cost approximately $3.50 a can. If I could give him store-bought food, I would. And the 7 oz bag cost $56. But it's keeping him healthy and happy. He went from violently vomiting 5 to 7 or more times a day (and all that goes along with it) to vomiting maybe once a month. Never a serious vet bill, always a healthy weight and she is living out her full life span, currently in her 11th year. Another good one is Wholesomes, also sold at Tractor Supply. I actually like it better than Diamond Naturals. About the same affordable price. Hard to find two better dry dog foods at about $1 a pound that are corn, wheat and soy free. |

No notice until many deaths occurring. At that point you are looking at many batches that have been made and these things have a long shelf life. In the end, it all comes down to the people you hire. Probably can't read or write and very lax in quality control. I bet it came from China. |

If I had a 50-100 pound dog then sure I can see needing to give dry food with it. |
