Perfumers and astronomers can detect and recreate scents based on the chemical signatures of the molecules in the air, even if that air is very very far away. A few years ago, astronomers reported that the enormous dust cloud at the center of the Milky Way smells like raspberries. Electromagnetic radiation coming from the gas cloud is absorbed by the chemicals floating around in space, and astronomers can identify those chemicals by how they change the electromagnetic signals that reach Earth. One of the molecules they identified, ethyl formate, smells like raspberries and rum. |

The Sovereign Order of Malta has been involved in a process to revise its constitution and to promote its spiritual renewal since 2017 with the help of the pope's special delegate, Cardinal Silvano Tomasi, who had been working closely with the order. After the pope held a private audience with a delegation of the order Sept. 3, the Vatican published the papal decree announcing changes to the order's leadership and the promulgation of the new constitutional charter and code, which all went into effect the same day. In the decree, the pope underlined that the Knights of Malta is a religious order, which means it "depends on the Holy See." He wrote that its sovereign nature is not separate from, but is "intimately connected" to, its religious nature, and such sovereignty is only meant to help facilitate its purpose and function, which includes providing humanitarian and charitable assistance around the world. Founded in Jerusalem in the 11th century, the Knights of Malta is a lay religious order recognized as a sovereign state by international law, which helps to facilitate its humanitarian missions around the world and maintain diplomatic relations with over 100 countries. |

I was surprised to hear that coming from eastern beliefs of longevity until he said why was because of appearance. I smiled and laughed a bit. They were all hooked to the televisions. It is common sense within a marriage that long one goes after the other within a short timeframe. Last Edited by Siyo on 09/08/2022 02:42 PM |

DART is a planetary defense test mission designed to impact the moonlet to alter its trajectory around Didymos. If proven effective, this spacecraft design could potentially be scaled up to deflect an Earth-bound asteroid (opens in new tab). (Didymos and Dimorphos pose no threat to Earth (opens in new tab) — they are a test site for the kinetic impact technology.) - "This first set of images is being used as a test to prove our imaging techniques," DART mission systems engineer Elena Adams of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Maryland, which is managing the mission, said in a statement (opens in new tab). "The quality of the image is similar to what we could obtain from ground-based telescopes, but it is important to show that DRACO is working properly and can see its target to make any adjustments needed before we begin using the images to guide the spacecraft into the asteroid autonomously." |

The admission came in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by the government transparency site The Black Vault, which has previously shared thousands of pages of UFO-related documents received via FOIA requests to the CIA and other government agencies. The Black Vault filed the FOIA request to the U.S. Navy in April 2020 — just one day after the Navy declassified three now-infamous videos shot by Navy pilots showing high-tech aircraft moving in seemingly impossible ways. The Black Vault requested that the Navy now turn over any and all other videos related to UAP. More than two years later, the government responded with a letter that both confirmed that more UAP videos exist and denied the request to turn them over due to national security concerns. |
