Well things on the fire front are improving...

I am off the at risk list...

The fire by me is considered under control now but there are still issues elsewhere...

Many have been effected at the worst possible time...coming into fall and winter...lost everything and its still not raining much but cooler weather has taken over now.

so...is everybody ready...?

next few months we are in the energy again...sustained...but not intense...but sustained none the less...

But theres a weird twist...There another component to this energy that wasnt present before...

I am going to say something crazy...but do you all have tinfoil hats...?

Not only will the energy effect the planets and the Sun and our Planet...but its going to effect US...

It doesnt matter if you have taken the V or not the V either...

so lets not bring that into the conversation...as that will just mess shit up big time...

Its not harmful in the way you might want to think so dont let yourself go there...you need to understand that part...

Its an strange energetic energy...mixed in with what we have been dealing with...already.

My guy thinks its going to change people in ways that will bring about and clear peoples thought processes...?

All things being equal...you are what you think just like you are what you eat...for many of us...if we are open and stable...somthing very profound may happen to some people.

We are electric peoples...and lets just say the easy way to explain this is your batterys are going to get topped up...but not all people will be effected the same way...but
this is completely unknown...in all honesty...but will have a positive effect none the less...hard to explain and I know I will get hell for saying this part...but I dont fucking care...this is a different field of study and although science knows humans are effected by energy not everything is understood...but some stuff is.

All things electric may also react to this extra added different mixture coming at us...

I had 2 batteries in my vehicles go this week...within two days of each other...Coincidence.?



I brought up with him/friend in conversation...that we are entering the age of Aquarius...the time when people are supposed to WAKE UP...Interesting timing anyways...thats just a side bar or is it...?

So much we dont know...so much has been hidden.

BUT...and big BUT...

The planet is still going to be effected and the weather and its going to get bad and then worse and then better...

After the summer the planet endured...extreme everything...heatwaves...drought...rain...floods...cold.....

tornado's and now hurricanes...Earthquakes...Volcano's...

Fall and winter into spring is going to be one wild ride...

Probably a few surprises from the sun as well...because this is low energy but sustained energy...and unrelenting for the next 6 mnths...and then just like that...poof...it will be gone...and theres nothing behind it.

It will get better...It Will...It always does...always.

This summer has been one I will never forget...not knowing if I had to bail and relocate...if I would get burned out and loose everything after all the work and planning I did and prepping...and infrustructure I put in place...

taught me alot...you just never know...what may come your way...and you must deal with the fact that you might have to bail and move and what that might look like...you need to think about what you would do...

I stayed up and positive and never let it get to me and just got to work...and thats what we all need to do...

I have a good feeling that after this winter...which will test us all...and yes get shitty...but its just weather...mostly...for most...unless your sitting on a fault or volcano...that when we get thru to the other side that its going to be better than ever before...but the pain comes first...but were all going to be way stronger for it...and for the prepared...a cake walk.

I have been shadowing the board...and all the negative shit hitting the wall and all the people thinking that the darkness is coming...and that were all doomed...I happen to think the opposite...

I cant descibe it but I know...I just know...that its all going to work out in the end...It might get hard...but its going to be ok in the end...

Yes much could happen in the other realm in politics and the V shit...but maybe if we can draw in some of this energy...that the friend doesnt think is a bad deal or thing...that maybe humanity can turn a corner and come out on top...and stronger.

Strange times we live in right now...Clear your heads...clear your minds...clean up your acts in regards to your health and bodies...let go of the booze and the drugs and let all the bullshit go...and dont let the fear rule you...and all the other bullshit...be strong.

and above all...GET PREPARED...FOR ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.

Now that the fire risk is gone...for now...in my area anyways...I can settle back in and unpack a bit...

But I will be always stay prepared to leave now because what happened this summer with the fires...

Had to make alot of changes...but on the flip side have a second location with friends in a different province...6 hours away.

2 sets of everything...and alot of duplication...

parted with some shit and downloaded as well which by and large wasnt a bad thing either...I tightened everything up
that I was doing...and it was good.

At one point I was packed and ready to leave...

That was the best part though to be truthful...

Had to think hard and just deal with what ws important and needed and figured out all the shit that was redundant and unneccesary...

I think now thats its an exercize we should all do...it brings clarity to the whole issue...and will make it easier if you ever have to do it...even how you pack things away and what not to bring...

I have critters as well so it was a challenge to figure out.

Built in the back of one of my truck boxes...plywood/framed and made levels to slid shit in...like shelves...for the chickens and dogs and then stuff...

little doors and wire windows so the chickens could stay in there for an extended period in comfort...

Its amazing how creative you can be when forced to figure out a new challenge...and your being pushed to act...

Cool little story and idea...that I never really paid attention to before...

I bought an old 84 dodge truck a few years back and when I was looking at it...it had this rubber strip about 1 inch wide attached to the frame and hanging down that just touched the ground...at the back about 3/4 of the way.

I asked him at the time what thats was and he said it grounded the truck...it grounded the truck...hummmmmmmm

It was an old peice of fan belt with wire filaments in it...and it just touched the ground...just enough to drag a bit...to act like a ground and discharge energy...or a short in the electrical system.

Old guy had that truck from new...and he put that thing on when he bought it...

That old truck has never had issues and the battery never went dead on that truck...!

had to tell you that one...

he drilled holes thru it...wrapped it around the frame and put a bolt and nut through it...its never bugged.

this event would end china as we know it...no more nothing
or anything would make it out of there.

everything manufacturing and all industry is built under that dam along that corridor to have the power source the dam produces.

millions of people and everything else would be washed away.

the mess downstream would be unfathomable.

this would effect other countries as well if that water let go.

would take china a decade or two to recover from it.

I am glad I dont live in an area where hurricanes can come to haunt...

I think the least of the two evils is a fire...at least the land is still there afterwards...not re located by water...

Always have a plan B people...an rv to get out with so you have a roof over your head if you have to relocate and can take some of your hard earned preps and pets with you in the end...

Rv's saved the day for the people around here...when they were forced out by the fires they pulled their rv's into evacuation lots and had a home away from home...it was tourist season here and not a hotel room in site...the province started asking the tourists to go home to open up rooms and the campgrounds so the locals had places to go too...

Cant say enough about having a camper...or an rv...or even a roof top tent for your auto...especially when you have to drive a couple hundred miles to get out of the damage path and flooding...

You guys have to start to leave the area when there is forecast bad weather and storms like this heading your way...

set up the RV spmeplace and wait it out and then use a spare vehicle to go back and check the damage later...

Look what IDA did...The day after tomorrow movie minus the big freeze...just occured.

I am sorry I am so late in checking back in, but it has been a really stressful event and days following. I really think that I have PTSD.

Hurricane Ida was not supposed to come as close to us as it did and it was probably a Cat 5. It will be re-evaluated, in the Post Season Analysis, by the NHC.

We sat in hours and hours of the Eastern outer eye wall that definitely had tornadoes in it as evidenced by some of the damage in my area with many snapped power poles, downed trees and cinder blocks and bricks blown off of buildings.
We stayed on the western side of our house, during the worst of it, and away from the eastern winds which were easily gusting to 120 - 145 mph.

The end result is we are alive and thankful! We had minor roof damage as our roof was in good shape before the storm. We had a huge Pine tree fall on both of our vehicles...thank God they are still driveable and we had our shed completely lift off the foundation and blow away. We don't know where the shed went to, but all the contents were un-disturbed. That was the wildest things. Even buckets in the shed were where we left them.

Post storm issues: Sewerage is a real problem, in our suburbia area, as they are running on generator. They are working hard to secure new generators and diesel fuel from all around the country and have done a good job so far. We still do not have electricity but have a time frame of September 8th. We have a generator hooked up to natural gas so that is really helping us deal with this.

We have some grocery stores locally that lets a few people in at a time and I was able to secure more food and supplies. But, I am a GLP'er so you know I was prepared. There are long lines for Gas and many fights are breaking out in the gas lines. Today some one was actually shot to death at a gas station a few miles away from me.

The bright side is that I fared out much better than many others, so I am helping others who are in need as I can.

My area is kind of like the Mayberry of the whole metropolitan New Orleans suburbia area. We help those in need and stick together as a community. My neighbors came down the street with a chain saw and supplies to free our cars from the big pine tree that fell on top of them.

Anyway, sorry this post is so long. I just wanted to say that this is a mixed bag of emotions. Seeing everyone come together is so awe inspiring, but seeing the tempers flare over something as simple as gas is sickening.

Good to here from you Nola, glad you’re ok. And to Op, carbon copy what Nola said and Dang near everything is the same here. Minor roof damage, nothing hit my vehicles though. Was flooded in day after storm, no water in my house though it’s high and dry. Been working every day since storm at the Hammond La . Rouses Grocery, I’m the Asst Meat Mgr. our Meat mgr disappeared to another State, his wife works for FEMA, so they put them up in a hotel. He still hasn’t come back. We basically have a skeleton crew for entire store. We were the first and only store open Tuesday. Big generator that runs entire store broke down yesterday( 3 rd time) , had to pull entire meat case and put in big cooler for the 3rd time this week. Customers have been pretty good after the storm, mostly polite and grateful we are open. Only some minor incidents the day before and day after storm. We did get and are getting shipments of ice , some dry goods and about half the meat originally ordered. For my area estimate power by Sept 17. Not much said on news about Tangipahoa parish. We got hit dead on. Complete war zone look. Hurricane Katrina had torn this area up pretty bad years ago, Ida was worse.

But we’re doing ok at my homestead. Many, many others not nearly as fortunate nor as prepared for a storm of this magnitude.

They are ignoring a lot of communities in the news. It's really sad. Cajun Navy has a Facebook page (Cajun Navy Emergency Operations) where you can request help for your area. As I am sure you know, the Cajun Navy is outstanding full of real folks just trying to help.

I have family and friends out that way and in Albany, La. I know there are a lot of downed trees everywhere and destruction. Hoping and praying it gets better soon.

We still do not have power here and it may be a while. Entergy just started working here to energize the main lines, but the problem is that many things are stopping it from actually getting to the homes. We have snapped power poles, downed power lines, blown or destroyed transformers, downed trees etc. Luckily my street and the transformer that supplies it did not sustain too much damage. Time will tell if I am one of the lucky ones to get my power back by their expected September 8 time frame.

It's been a week and I am actually starting to adjust to this new normal. I guess it is good mental training for what is still to come.

It is such a tragedy what has happened there and I have been praying that you are doing all you can to be good to yourself in these trying times.

Our merry band has been hit by alot of different events this year...

Fires and evacuations...and being on alerts for weeks as fires raged...Droughts...Heat Waves...Hurricanes...Flooding...Long term power outages...

Many of you effected by IDA were prepared and have back up power and food stores and tools and fuel stored...

lest we all be the ones standing in endless fuel lines and getting shot by the unruly unprepared masses...pushed to the limits by the situation and failure to be prepared ahead of time...

My situation...taught me and got me highly organized to cut and run...pack up...what to bring and what got left behind...and having that second location to bail into and having all the stuff neccesary to do just that along for the ride...Critters and equipment...to start over.

Would like to here from those of you of what you wish you had and things you would have done different...and changes you will be making coming up to deal with events like this in the future...

For those of you that have failed to do anything about your situation...still.

With fall and winter on fast approach...the looming food shortages...potential lockdowns...and really bad weather
expected across the whole of the planet in the next six months...if you dont get your shit together your in for a world of hurt...and your running out of time...

More gas cans for generator, I keep 5 full at all times and rotate them. I need to get five more. Propane is ok , I keep enough on hand at all times. For months of cooking. Everything else I’m good for quite awhile . Even though I could do without the generator and portable ac , it makes it more comfortable. I am now going to look at trying to get enough solar panels and batteries to be able to power fridge and freezer. I have enough wood stored to last through a winter to heat and cook. Soo, my fault in this, if I would have had solar to power fridge and freezer, I wouldn’t have had to go on gas hunts. Also, I plan on selling one of my jeeps and Harley and buying a pull behind camper . Also, I have a 12ft aluminum Flat bottom boat, only paddles, I’m gonna get a trolling motor for it. Otherwise, I’m pretty set. Each disaster teaches you where your weak points are. I eventually want to go full solar, if even possible to get supplies for it at this point
