Transport Minister Marc Garneau is closing Canadian skies to the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, effectively grounding the planes over safety concerns arising from the crash of an Ethiopian Airlines flight that killed everyone on board, including 18 Canadians. (<50%)

Looks like more to do with revenge to get back at the USA over economic trade deals they themselves F***ed up so they ground Boeing planes because of a Ethiopian airlines crash. How many of those classes of Boeing 737 Max crashed by American pilots owned by US airlines companies? That's right.......ZERO!

In fact all the fatal airlines crashes last year were airlines flown by foreign pilots.

There were as many accidents within the Airbus 320 family as there involving Boeing 737s in year 2018 and all operated by foreign airlines companies.
You don't hear of them grounding the Airbus 320's now do you? Hell no!
