Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76254102 lol the Bible is a Catholic book. If the Bible is a Catholic book: 1. Why does it condemn clerical dress? (Matt. 23:5-6). 2. Why does it teach against the adoration of Mary? (Luke 11:27-28). 3. Why does it show that all Christians are priests? (1 Pet. 2:5,9). 4. Why does it condemn the observance of special days? (Gal. 4:9-11). 5. Why does it teach that all Christians are saints? (1 Cor. 1:2). 6. Why does it condemn the making and adoration of images? (Ex. 20:4-5). 7. Why does it teach that baptism is immersion instead of pouring? (Col. 2:12). 8. Why does it forbid us to address religious leaders as "father"? (Matt. 23:9). 9. Why does it teach that Christ is the only foundation and not the apostle Peter? (1 Cor. 3:11). 10. Why does it teach that there is one mediator instead of many? (1 Tim. 2:5). 11. Why does it teach that a bishop must be a married man? (1 Tim. 3:2, 4-5). 12. Why is it opposed to the primacy of Peter? (Luke 22:24-27). 13. Why does it oppose the idea of purgatory? (Luke 16:26). 14. Why is it completely silent about infant baptism, indulgences, confession to priests, the rosary, the mass, and many other things in the Catholic Church? Misunderstanding of No Salvation Outside the Church: The Catholic Church; the Catholic Faith and the Institution put in place on Earth to protect the Catholic Faith I find to have 3 separate definitions. Salvation is found only inside the Catholic Church only because it is the same thing and equal to the Mystical Body of Christ. To be in the Mystical Body of Christ one must worthily partake in the Eucharist and have Jesus Christ reign King of their soul. Hence any Orthodox who believes in the Catholic Faith could be a Catholic. Jesus Christ must reign King of your soul to be saved and the only way Jesus Christ can enter your soul is through the miracle of the Holy Spirit which turns simple Bread and Wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ as the Rightful King and High Priest has authority outside time therefore can administer the Eucharist outside of time so potentially one could become a member of the Mystical Body of Christ during the moment before the soul leaves the body but that would be outside the authority of the Institution put in place to protect the Catholic Faith on Earth. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74351226 How many children will be raped by catholic priests today? Far less than school teachers, lawyers, doctors, and scientists. Sexual abuse is at much higher rates in the general population than in the Catholic church. Since they're cracking down on it now hopefully it will never be a problem again. Our priest explained that the biggest problem in the church is actually homosexuality where priests are grooming pubescent teenagers and new seminarians. He was told over 60% of the priests in our large city are homosexual and it's destroying the church. At least as far as the United States goes not that many priests have access to little boys and girls without other people present. |

Additionally did you know that "ash wednesday" is not a prescribed holy day in the BIble, and that hebrew holy days being circumvented with pagan ones was another identifier of antichrist, along with the "transfer" of the saturday-Sabbath to sunday, and the inquisitions (Dan. 7:25)? Quoting: Make Free Speech Great Again Did you know easter is also a non-biblical holiday but has it's roots in paganism? Jesus said he came to fufill the law and the prophets (old testament, Mt. 5:17-19). Passover, a holy day prescribed in the Bible, falls on April 19th this year. If you're going to celebrate "HOLYdays" why not celebrate God's rather than those that glorify satan? God says come out from the apostate religions and have nothing to do with them. On the contrary, the creator of this list reveals a surprising degree of ignorance about Catholic beliefs and how Sacred Scripture is read, interpreted and applied in the Church...not unusual for subscribers to the un-biblical concept of Sola Scriptura, and for those raised in a vitriolic and intolerant anti-Catholic environment. Most of the issues raised are very commonly expressed on this forum and elsewhere, and arise from post-Reformation theological confusion and ongoing pervasive misconceptions about the Catholic Church. It would not take lengthy research for a knowledge seeker to ascertain the answers to legitimate, intelligent and well-crafted questions; therefore, it might be concluded that this poster was content to avoid self-education on these topics. Since the listed questions are somewhat difficult to comprehend as written, I’ll respond briefly to a few of them. #2. No faithful Catholic gives Mary the adoration or worship reserved for God alone. Mary is venerated as the Mother of Jesus and our Mother, given to us by Our Lord through St. John at the foot of the Cross (“Behold, your Mother...”), and She is our greatest heavenly intercessor. #6. No faithful Catholic worships statues, paintings, stained glass windows and the like. Images serve as a focal point for prayer and devotion for the faithful. Such visual aids were particularly useful for illiterate and immigrant populations throughout history. Consider the Ark of the Covenant in Old Testament times, and Nativity scenes at Christmastime in the current day. #9, #12. Peter did not help himself to the keys; Our Lord gave Peter the keys to the kingdom, which is what a king did to his most trusted second-in-command whenever he left his palace. Whenever Jesus was accompanied by friends, Peter was always the first name mentioned. Peter was clearly placed in a position of authority in multiple instances in the Bible. #13. The first mention of prayers and offerings for the dead is in 2 Maccabees, a book that—along with 5 or 6 others—Martin Luther excised from his version of the Bible. If all souls went straight to Heaven, they would have no need of prayers, and if they all went to Hell they would not benefit from prayers. All Pre-Reformation Christians believed in the doctrine of Purgatory. #14. Not everything there is to know about the Christian Faith is recorded in Scripture, and the Bible itself tells us that (“Jesus did many more things than could be written down...”). There we have the limitations of Sola Scriptura, the rejection of Sacred Tradition and the absence of a teaching authority. The Rosary is not in the Bible, but the Bible is in the Rosary, for example. Pax Christi |
