Just received a note about a relative in the UK.

"Not good.
Operation , triple bypass suspended pending multidisciplinary meeting .
Against her: her age. 87
For her: she’s active, lively and charming.
We wait and see."



She went in on the 19th.

There it's free but sales tax is what? 18%. And you wait.

Here, insurance pays overpriced bills but you get almost instant care. (Unless you're Mexican, then it's free.)

Remember the pics of wwi injured soldiers on cots in tents?

That's what NHS wards look like today.
