But must admit, I feel a bit bad about this sometimes, as I think this deprives you tube video makers who monetise from a the few cents they would get (through advertising) when I watch their videos. The combination of add-ons "AdBlocker for YouTube" and "AdGuard AdBlocker" with Firefox eliminate ALL advertising. NO interruptions. I'm sure there are similar for Chrome. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77108331 Norway 03/07/2019 07:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here is a better way to get rid of ads when you find a youtube video you want to watch, copy the url and change the *you* to *hook* Example: www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2Or4rXTuU4 change to www.hooktube.com/watch?v=k2Or4rXTuU4 BOOM! No more ads! |

Clean those , don't go to their site again or open their emails and you won't see them ever again. Scooky |

Quoting: Pacifica Yes. There are some youtubers I like and watch regularly, so I just let the ad(s) run. They only get money if it runs for 20 seconds, and longer ads have to run for 30 seconds, I'm pretty sure. Sometimes I just hit the mute button for a minute or so and let the ad run, so they get their few pennies. Some ads I actually click on, but don't buy, because clicks count too. I used to get annoyed with the ads, but my daughter has a popular channel with 92k subs, so I get it now. Just play the game and let the creators get some pennies.
