And how do you suggest we or anyone else do that? It would first require a war to topple the current government. The US did such a great job in Iraq, right? Then billions and billions of dollars and armies of civilians to get their economy back up and running. IOW, it's impossible. Only Venezuelans can fix it.

Yes, they could theoretically get past the Darien Gap by taking boats, though there is no official ferry service between Colombia and Panama, just some expensive sailing expeditions for tourists.

I doubt Panama would welcome them. Panamanians do not like Colombians and are always on the lookout for illegals coming from that direction. Some Venezuelans have made their way here in recent years, and Panamanians complain about them too. They say that they're stealing jobs.

Timur, that's just wrong to talk about all of the people of Venezuela that way. Just because we don't want them coming here is not a reason to talk that way. We are so fortunate not to be in their shoes. If the commies here get any more power they'd do the same to us.

There's a 20 year old girl who works at the tobacco store, where I buy cigs, who is from Venezuela. I adore her. He mom sends care packages to family back there because it's so hard to get necessities. She's such a sweet girl and she loves her family who are probably as nice as she is and they are suffering horrible hardship.

Don't demonize people you don't know. Yes, they cannot come to the US but no, that does not make them bad, worthless or any other shit you said.

Yes, it would be much better to fuck Venezuela....just like the Middle East causing "a collateral damage" of millions of refugees all around Europe.

They can get here.... I have met many of them that have arrived in Houston over the last year and they came over the border by bus and on foot.

These include a significant number of Cuban doctors who were sent to Venezuela and then left for the USA.

Doesn't Venezuela have farmland? People need to be put to work feeding their nation.

Thanks for that correction. Must be Soros & Ford Foundation funded NGOs hiring boats, then, because I know people are coming from the Congo and Pakistan and they begin the journey in Brazil. Somewhere along the line they join the caravans out central America. You know, those fucking NGOs are the ones who have been running the ships of migrants from Libya to Europe so, I'll bet, they've done the same with these people. They can't feed their nation because of the level of corruption in their Government and police. A farm has to be sanctioned by the State. It's harvest goes to the State. If people are caught hording from the harvest, they could be jailed or killed...

I remember when one income could sustain an entire family, which included owning a house and a car. It was easy to get a job, and there was very little red tape. Kids could safely play outside at night. We did not need to lock our doors. We knew all our neighbors. People were more considerate. Things worked the way they were supposed to. No one really bothered you or got in your business. The attitude was live and let live.

Blacks fared better too in many ways. Back then, black families were intact, and kids behaved much better. If you went to a black neighborhood, most of the businesses there were owned and operated by blacks. Like everyone else, they were doing much better financially back then. Now if you go to a black neighborhood, most of the businesses are run by foreigners, and it's mostly liquor stores and convenience stores.

You might be shocked to know that racism is worse now than I've ever seen it in my lifetime. I don't even recall it being this bad in the 60's. By the time the 80's rolled around, it was virtually nonexistent. Someone resurrected it.

Yes it does. They are not sweet. They are economic parasites and most of them carry permanent diseases. We are fortunate to be born in the USA and that was for a reason. They were born where they were born for a reason and that reason was not to invade our lands.

LOL! Well, the USA used to be over 90% white when I was growing up, so yes, it was great for whites. The other races fared better back then too though.

The first time I ever saw a black person, I was 10-years old when my family took me to St. Louis. The first time I ever saw a Mexican was when I was 14-years old when we visited Mexico.

What a lot of the younger generation does not understand is that back then, many white Americans could live their entire lives without ever seeing a person of another race. You had to go to a city, the South, the Coasts or abroad to see people of other races.

They say during the fall of the Roman empire the state couldn't afford to defend far from the cities, so the farmers fled the roaming hoards of bandits and foreign nogoodnicks. Then people starved.
