Oh well, at least it is easier for all those rich Hollywood stars to get their planes into town for the Super Bowl. That seems to be a huge problem - all the private planes and no place for them. I heard yesterday that all the metro area airports are filled up and they are looking at the ones a couple of hours away.

It's only 36 degrees up here by Helen. We never did get any snow today, and just a slight sprinkle of rain. Just watch - the roads will be wet and they will call off school again tomorrow because it might turn to ice. :)

Some coworkers who are south of me said that the Habersham airport is full now. Go figure. That's quite a ways from Atlanta.

We had snow on top of the Cars this morning here in Southern Middle Tennessee...it didn't stick to the roads...some black ice on the Mountain...

That I believe. I grew up on a farm on the Iowa/MN border. You just expect extreme cold and snow and ice on the roads. Granted, there is a huge difference between driving on snowy and icy roads in Iowa where the roads are straight and mostly flat with large shoulders, and driving on snow/ice in North GA where there are a lot of hairpin curves, steep hills, and narrow roads. It can be difficult driving on some of these roads when the weather is fine.

A Particle Beam Jet forms HH 24

Explanation: If you visit HH 24, don't go near the particle beam jet. This potential future travel advisory might be issued because the powerful jet likely contains electrons and protons moving hundreds of kilometers per second. The above image was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in infrared light in order to better understand turbulent star forming regions known as Young Stellar Objects (YSOs). Frequently when a star forms, a disk of dust and gas circles the YSO causing a powerful central jets to appear. In this case, the energetic jets are creating, at each end, Herbig-Haro object 24 (HH 24), as they slam into the surrounding interstellar gas. The entire star forming region lies about 1,500 light years distant in the Orion B molecular cloud complex. Due to their rarity, jets like that forming HH 24 are estimated to last only a few thousand years.

NGC 2683: Edge-On Spiral Galaxy

Explanation: Does spiral galaxy NGC 2683 have a bar across its center? Being so nearly like our own barred Milky Way Galaxy, one might guess it has. Being so nearly edge-on, however, it is hard to tell. Either way, this gorgeous island universe, cataloged as NGC 2683, lies a mere 20 million light-years distant in the northern constellation of the Cat (Lynx). NGC 2683 is seen nearly edge-on in this cosmic vista combining data and images from the ground-based Subaru telescope and the space-based Hubble Space Telescope. More distant galaxies are seen scattered in the background. Blended light from a large population of old yellowish stars forms the remarkably bright galactic core. Starlight silhouettes the dust lanes along winding spiral arms, dotted with the telltale blue glow of young star clusters in this galaxy's star forming regions.

Jelly Donut Shaped Rock Appears on Mars

Explanation: What if a rock that looked like a jelly donut suddenly appeared on Mars? That's just what happened in front of the robotic Opportunity rover currently exploring the red planet. The unexpectedly placed rock, pictured above, was imaged recently by Opportunity after not appearing in other images taken as recently as twelve Martian days (sols) before. Given the intriguing mystery, the leading explanation is somewhat tame -- the rock was recently scattered by one of the rover's tires. Even so, the rock's unusual light tones surrounding a red interior created interest in its composition -- as well as causing it to be nicknamed Jelly Donut. A subsequent chemical analysis showed the rock has twice the abundance of manganese than any other rock yet examined -- an unexpected clue that doesn't yet fit into humanity's understanding of the Martian geologic history. Opportunity, just passing its 10th anniversary on Mars, continues to explore the Murray Ridge section of the rim of 22-kilometer wide Endeavor Crater.

Explanation: Fantastic shapes lurk in clouds of glowing gas in NGC 6188, about 4,000 light-years away. The emission nebula is found near the edge of a large molecular cloud unseen at visible wavelengths, in the southern constellation Ara. Massive, young stars of the embedded Ara OB1 association were formed in that region only a few million years ago, sculpting the dark shapes and powering the nebular glow with stellar winds and intense ultraviolet radiation. The recent star formation itself was likely triggered by winds and supernova explosions, from previous generations of massive stars, that swept up and compressed the molecular gas. Joining NGC 6188 on this cosmic canvas is rare emission nebula NGC 6164, also created by one of the region's massive O-type stars. Similar in appearance to many planetary nebulae, NGC 6164's striking, symmetric gaseous shroud and faint halo surround its bright central star near the bottom edge. The impressively wide field of view spans over 3 degrees (six full Moons), corresponding to over 200 light years at the estimated distance of NGC 6188. Narrowband image data has been included in the natural looking color composite, adding to deep red emission from hydrogen and sulfur atoms and the blue-green light of oxygen atoms.

This has been one of the nicest winters I have had in the SE. Funnel cloud went by just to the north of me today and the phones all started alarming but only a small amount of rain and no lightning.

M81 versus M82

Explanation: Here in the Milky Way galaxy we have astronomical front row seats as M81 and M82 face-off, a mere 12 million light-years away. Locked in a gravitational struggle for the past billion years or so, the two bright galaxies are captured in this deep telescopic snapshot, constructed from 25 hours of image data. Their most recent close encounter likely resulted in the enhanced spiral arms of M81 (left) and violent star forming regions in M82 so energetic the galaxy glows in X-rays. After repeated passes, in a few billion years only one galaxy will remain. From our perspective, this cosmic moment is seen through a foreground veil of the Milky Way's stars and clouds of dust. Faintly reflecting the foreground starlight, the pervasive dust clouds are relatively unexplored galactic cirrus, or integrated flux nebulae, only a few hundred light-years above the plane of the Milky Way.

Gujaratis themselves are very varied in their racial omposition based on caste and religion. From my look at genetic studies, Gujaratis tend to have the biggest range. Some castes, like Patels, seem to be much different in genes and looks than Desais.

On average, sorry to say but no. I'd say the percrent that would find any black person attractive would be 10%. Now the percentage willing to actually date or marry a black is probably half of that.

Almost all other non-black races,excluding east Asians and Mongloid people's, have significant caucasoid makeup. So East Asians and Blacks are the only two races that caucasoid people's find difficulty in being attracted to.

At the end of the day you are who you are. A lizard cannot change the fact it's a lizard. So just like that, if someone can't become attracted to you naturally, then let it go, you can't do much.

My take is that because of their own oppression they find a venue to release the hate built up inside of them. It's a typical psychological phenomenon that hurt people hurt others. South and West Asian(Pakistan,India,Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt) people however do look attractive, most likely because they are caucasoids and caucasians generally attracted to other types “caucasian” (regardless of skin color.)
