They ran my drivers license, concealed carry license and revolver serial number and said the ticket would be mailed to my address. I thought the Feds were on furlough. Not these apparently. There is Dept of the Interior, which includes BLM and Park Service. There is Dept of Agriculture which includes the US Forest Service. This is important when you try and call any Dept of Forestry. |

Most - but not all - BLM road in my area that aren't fire roads behind heavy gates made of steel railroad (easy bypass on dirt bike/foot/horseback, though) are pretty well maintained. Shit, around Larch Mountain (Oregon, not WA), the Bull Run Reservoir that feeds Portland's water supply is situated scores of miles through thick, harsh forested wilderness areas, and because of this, the local BLM roads are gravel, but the Bull Run Reservoir access road(s) and adjacent series of fire roads are all blacktop. Anyway, I hope nothing comes of it. Fucking absurd they are to have even bothered you in the first place! Liberty or Death. For example I'm COG Essential, so my entire annual salary is allocated the first day of the fiscal year--I'm already 'written off' and just received six weeks of leave added to my account with another 80 hours to be accumulated over the course of the year. But then again my title is "analyst" so technically I'm 'expendable', but work diligently for the preservation of our nation and the needs of non-communist, real Americans. There's truly no guessing whom you were ticketed by, though I consider their actions utter bullshit. Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country, don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy. |
