Russia is no longer using payments in dollars in large trade contracts, said Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov in an interview with RBC. For example, the delivery of anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 is paid in rubles or in national currencies of the buying countries. As Manturov said, in national currencies, in particular, India, Turkey and China are paying.

With India, a contract for five billion dollars was concluded in early October of this year, according to which the country will receive five C-400 regiments. Turkey should get four divisions worth $ 2.5 billion, the agreement was signed in December 2017. China has acquired six divisions worth over three billion dollars.

Manturov clarified that barter schemes, when it was possible to pay for enterprises "either with Chinese stew or with puffs," were already taking place in the nineties. Now, they, according to the minister, fortunately, are not used.

Earlier it was reported that Russia and China are preparing an agreement on mutual settlements in national currencies. According to the head of VEB Igor Shuvalov, the document can be signed before the end of the year.
