Of course it will happen. Did you see how close Beto got in the last election?
Quoting: Far Away Some republicans did not bother to vote for cruz. That's one of the reasons why it was a nail biting race. I almost didn't. I really dislike him. I almost just didn't vote, period because I am so upset with the inertia concerning issues most important to me. I thought I would have the luxury because Texas has been red my whole life. I did go vote all Republican as almost an impulse the day of the election. I was surprised at how long the votes stayed blue after the usual red Houston, Austin, Dallas were counted. I was like- when is this crap going to switch over?? When they do the redistricting in 2022 after 2020 census, democrats may win easily in texas. That will be a sad day, but Republican politicians are letting it happen through immigration. I'm at the point to where I don't think voting will/can work- it's hard to give up that thought though because what comes after that.
