My father is seeing shadow people all the time.

They aren't hanging out. They are feeding on his anxiety, pain, fear, frustration.

OP...I have to somewhat agree with this person above. Where one persons belief convinces them it's demons or some kind of attack, others, on the opposite side of the world in a different belief system will interpret it as something entirely different. Point being...Our beliefs determine how we perceive.

I suggest looking into some info on the idea of shadow people, or other such phenomenon, is actually 'thought forms'. Yeah, yeah, i know...woo woo stuff...but there's some good points of view and beliefs in that arena that may help explain a 'better' reason as to what your dad is seeing.

Also, keep in mind that the woo woo stuff many times is closely associated with quantum physics, or more directly-Meta physics. There IS proof that can easily be perceived in the way I'm getting ready to suggest.

When you learn and understand that this reality is vibrational in nature FIRST, before we perceive and interpret these vibrations/frequencies into what appears to be solid matter. It's all an illusion.

So...thought forms. The idea that energy can't be created or destroyed (science) Thoughts are energy. Beliefs are an energy structure. Beliefs are the 'lens' that you see through...much like a pair of really cool sunglasses.

Thoughts don't just go away once they are created into existence. Once created they continue on. People that latch onto an idea or belief, then create a personification of that energy or belief...into a god, angel or a demon, gives that thought form more power and can eventually take on a certain consciousness of it's own. (look up egregores, tulpas) The science of the magicians.

Taking a dive into quantum physics or metaphysics might lead you down the path of discovery that for us, as humans, to experience anything in reality ( by translating energy into an experience) we have to be a frequency match to that which we are translating. As in...you can't perceive it unless you are on the same 'channel'.

There are infinite 'channels' with infinite thought forms or frequencies to 'tune into'.

Your dad, in his weakened state, may just simply be in a mental state where his 'tuner'... his mind, is perceiving shadow forms/thought forms that randomly drift by. Perhaps if his 'tuner' were more finely tuned, as many that meditate will tell you, he would not perceive just shadows, but full color 'entities'.

But to be fair, there is such a thing known as Hypnogogic imagery. This happens at night as we are going to sleep. It's an indication that your brain has lowered into a deeper state of being, headed to the sleep state.

Hypnogogic imagery can be seen as many things...random shapes and color splotches...to shadowy figures fading in and out...faces...places...things. Perhaps subconscious creations or actual thought forms that can be perceived when the brain/tuner is in a relaxed and non resistant state.

In any case, if your dad is having nightmares then it would lead one to believe that he has deep seated fear. He has to be a frequency match to that which he perceives...asleep or awake.

So...two things...If he only experiences this at night is it possible that he isn't getting 'enough' oxygen, which might cause this kind of experience? And...perhaps talk with him more about what fears he may have...fear of death? fear of condemnation from a higher being because he didn't live a good enough life, etc.? I suggest that a person without fear and with good positive beliefs and thoughts might experience these shadows as angels or enlightened beings, not creepy shadow people.

If he does have fear of some sort, try to work through it. Try to cultivate new beliefs and thoughts. It's quite possible that these shadow people could also be positive entities all around, in that other 'frequency', but he can only perceive them as shadows. Just because they are dark shadows doesn't mean they are evil or negative in nature. Perhaps it's just his ability to not perceive them fully.

Folks that only believe that Jesus is the way, and anything else can just be tossed into the 'demon' pile of trash, for the most part, have a belief that ALL other people are lost if they don't accept Jesus as a savior. Forget, all the billions that STILL haven't heard of him...they are going to hell's torment for eternity. A sure way to have an uncomfortable death is to cultivate a belief in demons and eternal damnation, and not knowing if you have lived a good enough life, free of sin until you take your last breath. It's certainly understandable why some people would fear something that they don't know anything about.

It just doesn't make much sense in the GRAND scheme of the universe.

You can NEVER, EVER be separated from your infinite, eternal SOURCE. That's where we all came from...and infinite source...which means we are infinite as well and cannot die.

We can argue, postulate, fuss and fight about the 'what if's ' of it all, but energy can't be created or destroyed..and after all, that's what we are at our core.

It's just that most of us had to forget where we came from in order to have a new creative experience. Once you kick the bucket you'll get your memory back...when you dial back from this frequency/channel, to the one from which you came.

This happened to me many years ago. I couldn't move after waking up (paralysis), saw a shadow person and it seemed to be startled from me seeing it, and ran through a wall. Still creeps me out thinking about it.

OP should find out if he can move when seeing these figures.

He shouldn't interact with them either. If they see that you can see them, that's when they get nasty and you may get physically attacked.

Nonsense. I watched a group of hooded shadows in my backyard for about 20 minutes. I called out to them twice. The first time I spoke they carried on with their business ignoring me. Around the 20 minute mark I called out to them again and two of them looked at me from the bottom of the grave they were digging. I assume it was a grave based on the distance between the two who looked at me. They didn't get nasty or attack me in any way.

only possible other theory i have is the mind is hallucinating in order to produce massive adrenaline to keep the arteries open and avoid stroke.

that is a really big part of everything in the organic funtioning, keeping the arterial system open and unclogged

my mom started seeing all these people like this, and then she was like possessed by them and would just be doing these really insane things all the time, trying to drive me nuts as well, then they took over the already evil minds of my brothers and boy was that easy , i could tell it was alot harder for them to do it to my mom
