Cute Little Badass Bobcat Kitten Going Back Out Into the Wild

I had a friend that had a bobcat when I was a kid...he had found it as a kitten, raised it, and kept him in a big enclosure in their back yard.

He could get into the enclosure with him, but when anyone else (like me) even approached it, it would try to eat through the wire to get to us.

Beautiful animal.

I'd feel the same if I was in a cage too!

Damn. I only ever saw one once in real life. I heard it going ape shit in the woods the one night so I went out with my rifle which has a light on it to see if I could spot it.

I saw it in my acog for a few seconds but it bailed quickly.

Incredible creatures for sure.

Cats have good survival instincts. He will be fine.

I have raised many little kitties who were left as orphans for one reason or another. I used a little baby bottle and formula from the vet.
They were quite insistent and fiesty when they wanted their feeding's Lol!
The vet was always amazed that they had lived. :)

Baby bobcats and cheetahs are so dang cute!

Heh, that little bobcat looks like it has plenty of instinct to go on....

Saw a big one this year near my friends place. It took down a small down and sat on the kill for a few days. Watched it thru binoculars. Here Kiki..

I had a 10 kilo rescue tabby cat with half an ear that fought and beat every dog in our street (apart from George the German Shepard) He was fine with most other cats though - they knew not to fuck with him.

He would sit on our front wall at 6pm wearing his diamanté collar to get all the strokes and loving from our neighbours as they came home from work.

He could even recognise my car and would jump in as I opened the door to get out. His name was Edward, the coolest cat ever.

Thanks! Our street was a dead end so on hot days he would sleep in the road, when a car came to pass by they would have to hoot the horn for him to move and he'd be like : FFS!!

The rescue place told us that he was found having broken into a family's home through their cat flap while they were on holiday. He then dragged a box of cat biscuits down from the top shelves and opened it. When they came home a week later he was lying in their cat's basket giving it: What??

They are so gorgeous! I remember living where one was wild, running around loose, I would see her as I drove around. One day, a car had killed her, so I picked her up and brought her back home to bury her, couldn't stand the thought of this gorgeous creature being buzzard food.

A cursory examination of this pretty kitty showed there were only a few differences between a bobcat and domestic felis catus. The jaws were stronger and the canine teeth were much longer, the paws were bigger, and the back legs had incredible muscles on them. Stunning fur, soft with spots. I buried her under an oak tree.

However, a live one......could easily deglove the skin from your hands, arms and face before you knew what hit you. Big respect for these critters! Rawr!

We had a momma and kittens in the (sometimes) creek behind our house. Living in the rip-rap, umm, rocks. It was spring and I was looking for antler sheds and wondering why the crows and magpies were squalking like crazy. Ready for momma bears with my GP100, I came over the ridge, saw two little snowy, fluffy kittens ambling about. Awwwww, cute.

Then a streak of ice down my back as I realized momma was sitting there absolutely still looking at me with her flat pie face. Since she wasn’t in a crouch I realized she wasn’t about to attack and I backed . out . . slowly.

Later that spring I found out my wife had been talking to the three of them for weeks as she worked in the garden. No fear. They would sit in the scrub oaks and watch her pick lettuce and beans, and adjust the drippers. Just watching.

One day my wife spotted momma holding a squirrel on the ground with her big fat paw, the kits would play with the squirrels tail and she would let the squirrel go, then catch it again, and bring it back for the kits to play with. Repeat until the squirrel became supper.

I miss them. Not enough bunnies to draw them in. I whish they would get the raccoons! Grrrrr...

Absolutely. I once had a female feral. She was great cat. She tore the shit out of any male I tried to mate her with. She was only nice to me. Bitches of a feather flock together I guess.
