Here's an interview with the author of that book Robert Schoch on the Joe Rogan podcast, [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] (I don't watch Rogan's show often at all, but he does a very good job interviewing, this is one of the best ones) The geologist is the guy who pushed the date of the Sphinx back substantially. Not sure if you heard of John Anthony West but he was good friends with Schoch, West died recently but his stuff is worth looking into as well, it's much more 'spiritual', West believed, correctly, that our ancestors knew more about 'death' and the after life than we do so he delved deep into it. Since you've had NDE's I'm sure you'll find his work fascinating.

Oh one more recommendation, The Dead Saints Chronicles - by David Solomon. It's a massive collection of NDE's by a man who was dying of cancer himself. It incorporates Zen and Christian themes in exploring the hereafter. Although since you've been through the process already I'm not sure how much new info would be found in it, but it's a great read regardless and an excellent resource to use for opening the eyes of those you know who are curious but still stuck in the 'materialist/nihilistic' paradigm.
