Events in my lifetime that blew my mind after I found out....

1) In 1967 at the age of 13 I attended a Herman's Hermits concert. I found out just last night that The Who was the opening act! Heck, I didn't even remember there was one. I became a big fan starting with "The Who Sell Out", released just months after that Hermits' concert.

2) The Stones live album "Shine a Light" was released in 2008. The title was taken from one of the songs they performed live starting in 1995 after Mick read a Usenet post suggesting the song for the set list. I was the one who posted the suggestion on Usenet! Just found this out a couple of years ago.

3) When I was 12 years old I had a pet duck. I just found out a few years ago that mom cooked her up and fed her to me.

4) Two or three years ago I learned that my grandmother-in-law ran one of the hide-outs for the Barrow gang.

5) I got drunk with a nice lady right before the big Oklahoma vs Ohio State football game back in 1977. Just me and her. She was a Sooner, me a Buckeye. Right after she left the bar, I found out she was married to the governor of Oklahoma.

Would have been nice to know this stuff in real time, especially about the Who.
